We're hiring an experienced
CNC Programmer to join our high-spec precision machining team supporting
Aerospace, Defense, and Semiconductor customers. If you're passionate about solving difficult manufacturing problems, programming complex multi-axis parts, and seeing your work come to life on the shop floor, this is an opportunity to work on some of the industry's most demanding components.
This is not a programming position where you simply generate G-code and move on. You'll own manufacturing processes from print to production, designing tooling and fixturing, proving out programs on the floor, and collaborating closely with machinists and engineers to continuously improve our processes.
We're looking for someone with a true
machinist's mindset-someone who has spent time at the spindle, understands setups, tooling, and workholding, and writes programs that operators can execute successfully.
Compensation- Base Pay: $110,000-140,000
Responsibilities:- Develop, optimize, and maintain complex multi-axis CNC programs using Mastercam.
- Program primarily 5-axis milling (3+2 required, simultaneous machining is a strong plus).
- Generate collision-free toolpaths while maximizing cycle time, tool life, and machine efficiency.
- Develop complete manufacturing strategies for close-tolerance components from engineering prints.
- Interpret complex blueprints, GD&T, and engineering documentation to create efficient machining processes.
- Establish tooling, machining sequences, cutting strategies, and process documentation.
- Work directly with machinists during setup and prove-out of new programs.
- Troubleshoot machining, tooling, dimensional, and process issues.
- Make real-time programming adjustments to improve quality and productivity.
- Design creative workholding, fixtures, and tooling solutions using Mastercam and SolidWorks.
- Collaborate with engineering on fixture concepts and manufacturing improvements.
- Optimize cycle times, improve repeatability, and reduce manufacturing costs.
- Standardize programming methods and best practices.
RequirementsQualifications:- 5+ years of Mastercam programming experience (less considered for exceptional entry-level candidates)
- Strong experience programming multi-axis CNC mills
- 5-Axis 3+2 programming experience is required
- 5-Axis simultaneous machining experience is highly preferred
- Experience in a close-tolerance milling environment
- Strong understanding of GD&T
- Ability to interpret complex engineering drawings and models
- Hands-on machining and setup experience strongly preferred-you should understand the machines you're programming
- Strong understanding of cutting tools, feeds, speeds, workholding, and machining strategy
- Self-motivated with excellent attention to detail
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced manufacturing environment
- Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate with machinists, engineers, and supervisors
- Takes ownership of projects and customer delivery commitments
Preferred:- Vericut simulation experience
- SolidWorks fixture design experience
- Machine probing routines and in-process inspection programming
- Custom Macro B programming
- Lean Manufacturing or continuous improvement experience
Benefits- Medical, dental, vision
- 401(k) with match
