Job DescriptionJob Title: CNC Machine Operator-Floater (Day Shift) Job Location: Aiken, SC Work Pattern: Full Time Position Summary: We are offering a $3,000 Sign on BonusWhat you will be doing:With this attractive opportunity you will get a chance to: - Assemble sub-systems and cubic engine components using various tools, gauges, devices, Loctite, liquid nitrogen, lubricants, and specialized equipment.
- Operate CNC HELLER machining centers with Siemens 840D controllers according to instructions, routings, control plans, production requirements, and diagrams.
- Read, study, and interpret blueprints, machining/assembly instructions, specifications manuals, job orders, routings, and control plans to determine sequences of operations, setups, and requirements.
- Compile workpieces, components, and materials per specifications; inspect, document, and report defects.
- Select appropriate materials and tooling required for machining and assembly of cubic engine components.
- Position and align components for assembly into larger mounting elements and verify part clearances.
- Perform leak testing and functional testing of parts and assemblies using multiple processes and technologies.
Position Qualifications:- 2 years in a mechanical, maintenance or machining trade school OR
- Equivalent associate's degree; OR
- 5 years of experience in a heavy-duty machining environment.
- Shift: (Day Working Shift) - Monday-Thursday 5:45am-4:15pm.
- Ability to work any shift and overtime as required.

Preferred qualifications:- Intermediate knowledge of CNC-controls (preferred SIEMENS 840 D Controllers) machines and tools, including their designs, uses, repair, and maintenance
- Intermediate ability to interpret Statistical Process Control (SPC) and operate scanning devices for system communications
- Intermediate knowledge of manufacturing and production processes, raw materials, quality control, costs, and other techniques for maximizing the effective manufacture of goods (Quality Alerts, Second Checks, etc.)
- Intermediate knowledge of OSHA safety requirements and the ability to use relevant information and individual judgment to determine whether events or processes comply with laws, regulations or standards
- Intermediate troubleshooting and problem-solving skills where problems are complex
- Experience as a CNC milling operator and with SIEMANS 840D Control System Knowledge of MTU products, policies and procedures.
