Responsibilities
The Construction Materials Testing (CMT) Project Manager II manages and executes construction materials testing projects with increasing independence and responsibility. This role is accountable for project delivery, including coordination, reporting, budgeting, and client communication for moderately complex projects. The CMT Project Manager II contributes to staff development and client relationship growth while maintaining a positive customer service attitude and demonstrating ECS Core Values.
Responsibilities- Manages construction materials testing projects from proposal through completion with limited supervision
- Reviews daily field reports and resolves technical and administrative issues
- Manages project budgets, invoices, pay applications, and collections
- Prepares proposals and change orders
- Serves as a primary point of contact for clients on assigned projects
- Supports and performs testing of soils, foundations, reinforced and post-tensioned concrete, masonry, structural steel, fireproofing, and asphalt
- Performs soil classification and assigns appropriate laboratory testing
- Coordinates field staff and ensures training and execution of project requirements
- Mentors junior staff and technicians and supports team development
- Oversees project execution, including scheduling, staffing, and deliverables
- Participates in project meetings and provides technical and project-related input
- Performs other project management and technical duties as assigned

Qualifications
Required Qualifications- 3 years of related experience
- Bachelor of Science in any of the multi-disciplined Civil Engineering, Construction Engineering and Management, Materials Science Engineering, Architectural Engineering, and Geology
- If driving for or on behalf of any ECS subsidiary, a valid driver's license is required
- Strong communication skills (verbal and written)
- Strong project management and organizational skills
- Strong knowledge of construction materials testing principles and applications
- Strong working knowledge of construction materials testing and ASTM standards
- Ability to interpret and review field and laboratory testing results
- Ability to prioritize work and manage multiple deadlines
- Strong client relationship and business development skills
- Basic leadership and mentoring capabilities
- Proficiency with construction materials testing software
- Sound decision-making ability
