Job Description Summary
Process Engineering position responsible for the non conventional machining (lasers and EDMs) of Ceramic Matrix Composite (CMC) parts. This engineer will lead improvement projects and shop floor support for a product line in an their assigned area.

Job Description

Roles and Responsibilities

  • Support plant safety policies
  • Improve all aspects of Safety, Quality, Delivery & Cost
  • Lead improvement projects from concept to completion & assure sustainment
  • APQP for responsible processes
  • Drive & lead/cycle time improvements
  • Lead & support low rate and full rate production
  • Implement necessary equipment, tooling & fixtures for manufacturing development and process improvements
  • Create, maintain & adhere to schedules to achieve business metrics/targets
  • Listen to the voice on the floor, understand the problem and implement effective countermeasures
  • Manage projects related to product industrialization
  • Hands on problem solving & investigation
  • Continuous improvement mind set
  • Perform root cause and corrective action of product & process failures and defects
  • Limited remote working conditions
  • Limited travel (equipment run off, supplier visits)

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree accredited college or university (or a high school diploma / GED with a minimum of 4 years of experience in manufacturing operations experience)
