Cloud Systems Engineer
The Opportunity:

As a cloud systems engineer on our team, you will have the chance to advise the government, assess the contractor's technical approach, identify risks and gaps, and verify that the delivered cloud environment meets mission, cybersecurity, integration, performance, and operational requirements. You'll share your expertise during acquisition, installation, configuration, and maintenance of a cloud-based system. You Have:
  • 9+ years of experience in developing cloud architecture, systems engineering, and technical oversight across AWS, Azure, hybrid cloud, on-premises, and disconnected environments
  • 8+ years of experience supporting complex DoW acquisition, systems engineering, digital transformation, or cloud modernization programs
  • Experience integrating security controls into cloud architectures, reviewing assessment evidence, supporting ATO activities, and maintaining continuous monitoring
  • Experience supporting DoW Impact Levels: IL4, IL5, or IL6 environments, including classified and disconnected environments
  • Knowledge of Zero Trust principles including identity and access management, segmentation, encryption, logging, continuous monitoring, and secure DevSecOps practices
  • Ability to use active learning and analytical thinking within a collaborative, cross-functional team environment
  • TS/SCI clearance
  • Bachelor's degree in CS, Computer Engineering, Information Systems Management, or System Administration


Nice If You Have:
  • Experience with Python or scripting languages for security automation
  • Experience developing enterprise cloud-native solutions involving Kubernetes, Docker, Helm, GCP, AWS or Azure
  • Experience working in DoW or IC environments
  • Experience with hybrid cloud, on-premises cloud, edge computing, and disconnected or limited-bandwidth environments
  • Experience defining technical acceptance criteria and supporting design reviews, test readiness reviews, cybersecurity reviews, and government acceptance activities
  • Experience translating mission needs into measurable technical, cybersecurity, resilience, availability, and performance requirements
  • Knowledge of DevSecOps pipelines, infrastructure as code, automated testing, container security, configuration management, and software supply-chain security
  • Master's degree in CS, Computer Engineering, Information Systems Management, or System Administration
  • Cloud certification preferred, such as AWS Solutions Architect, Azure Administrator, or Google Professional Cloud Architect

Salary at Booz Allen is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual's particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $86,800.00 to $198,000.00 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Booz Allen's total compensation package for employees. This posting will close within 90 days from the Posting Date.
