Cloud Systems Administrator

Red Arch Solutions is actively seeking a robust Cloud System Administrator to engineer, maintain, and optimize the infrastructure for an enterprise data modernization initiative at the Defense Intelligence Agency (DIA).
This role is critical for ensuring the continuous availability and security of development, test, and production environments. Working in a fast-paced Agile framework, you will leverage modern DevSecOps tools to implement automated pipelines, maintain containerized infrastructure, and execute comprehensive disaster recovery protocols.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Environment Management: Administer and maintain secure development, test, and production environments, ensuring rigorous separation of duties and streamlined promotion procedures.
DevSecOps Automation: Implement and optimize automated CI/CD pipelines to support continuous build/test, security scanning, code quality analysis, and automated deployments utilizing agency-approved toolsets.
Infrastructure Support: Support a diverse, modern technology stack that may include tools such as Oracle, NiFi, Python, Jenkins, SonarQube, GitLab, OpenShift, and Kubernetes.
Disaster Recovery Operations: Implement and test robust backup and recovery capabilities to ensure the platform meets stringent Recovery Time Objectives (RTO System Monitoring: Establish and manage automated alerting mechanisms for system outages, performance degradation, and processing failures to ensure high availability.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

Clearance: Active, current Top Secret / SCI with Polygraph is mandatory.

Experience: 8+ years of systems administration or cloud engineering experience within secure DoD or Intelligence Community environments.

Technical Literacy: Proven experience managing Linux-based cloud infrastructure, container orchestration (Kubernetes, OpenShift), and CI/CD tools (GitLab, Jenkins).

Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related technical discipline.

Certification: Must maintain DoD 8570 compliance (e.g., Security+ CE).

DESIRED SKILLS & FRAMEWORKS

  • AWS Certified SysOps Administrator, AWS Certified Solutions Architect, or equivalent Azure certification highly desired.
  • Experience troubleshooting and optimizing Apache NiFi data flows.
  • Strong scripting abilities (Python, Bash) and experience operating within Agile/Scrum methodologies.

Salary range $165,000-190,000 #CJ
