Responsibilities

We are seeking a Cloud Systems Administrator to support the migration of corporate hardware systems into the WANDS/AWS environment. This role will focus on administering, supporting, and maintaining AWS-based infrastructure while assisting with cloud modernization and operational automation efforts.

 

The candidate will work with AWS technologies including configuring and supporting EC2 instances, VPCs, networking, security controls, IAM, and basic automation. Responsibilities include setting up and maintaining AWS EC2 environments using Infrastructure as Code tools such as Terraform and Ansible, and applying AWS Well-Architected Framework principles to support reliable, secure, and efficient system operations.

 

The ideal candidate will also have exposure to Site Reliability Engineering concepts and will assist with automating operational tasks, supporting resilient system designs, and implementing monitoring and logging solutions under established architectural guidance.

Qualifications

  • Seven (7) years experience as a Systems Administrator with solid understanding and working knowledge of core Linux operating system components is required.
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Systems Engineering, Computer Science, Mathematics or another related technical field is required (Note: Four additional years of experience can be substituted in lieu of having a degree).
  • 8570 IAT Level I or higher (preferably Security+) is required and must be obtained prior to starting.
  • Active TS/SCI security clearance with current polygraph is required.

 

One of the following certifications is required:

*Possession of a Cloud and 8570 certification is required and will be verified as part of the interview or offer process.

Target Salary Range

$146,000 - $234,000. This represents the typical salary range for this position. Salary is determined by various factors, including but not limited to, the scope and responsibilities of the position, the individual’s experience, education, knowledge, skills, and competencies, as well as geographic location and business and contract considerations. Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay.
