The Opportunity:

CACI is seeking a skilled and experienced Cloud Systems Engineer (Level 2) to join our dynamic team to support a DoD client in Suitland, MD. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in cloud platform management, deployment, and monitoring, with a focus on AWS and Azure. This role requires a deep understanding of cloud service models, microservices architecture, and scripting/automation. The Cloud Systems Engineer will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining cloud infrastructure while ensuring security best practices and compliance requirements are met.

Responsibilities:
• Manage, deploy, and monitor cloud platforms (AWS, Azure) to ensure optimal performance and reliability.
• Design and implement microservices architecture within the cloud environment.
• Develop and maintain scripts and automation tools using Python, PowerShell, or Bash to streamline cloud operations.
• Ensure the security and compliance of cloud infrastructure by adhering to best practices and Responsible AI (RAI) policies.
• Manage operating systems (Linux and Windows Server) within the cloud environment.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and resolve cloud-related issues.
• Stay current with emerging cloud technologies and trends, including serverless technologies like AWS Lambda and AI cloud tools.
• Provide guidance and support to junior team members on cloud-related projects and initiatives.

Qualifications:
• Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Management Information Systems, or a related STEM degree is desired.
• Experience: 3-5 years of experience in cloud platform management, deployment, and monitoring (AWS, Azure).
• Clearance: TS/SCI

Technical Skills:
• Good understanding of cloud service models (IaaS, PaaS, SaaS) and cloud architecture.
• Proficiency in scripting languages like Python, PowerShell, or Bash for automation.
• Solid understanding of network concepts such as subnetting, routing, and firewalls.
• Experience managing operating systems like Linux and Windows Server.
• Awareness of cloud security best practices and compliance requirements.
• Familiarity with cloud serverless technologies such as AWS Lambda and AI cloud tools and capabilities.
• Knowledge of Responsible AI (RAI) policies.

Certifications:
• Security+
• Cloud Practitioner
• Azure Fundamentals
• Microsoft Azure Administrator

Preferred Skills:
• Experience with containerization technologies (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes).
• Knowledge of DevOps practices and tools (e.g., Jenkins, GitLab CI/CD).
• Experience with infrastructure as code (IaC) tools (e.g., Terraform, CloudFormation).

The proposed salary range for this position is:
$79,400 - $162,700
