Cloud Specialist Onsite
Description: Diversified Systems is searching for a Cloud Specialist to develop and modify scalable architecture supporting Infrastructure-as-a-Service (IaaS) and Platform-as-a-Service (PaaS) platforms. The consultant will ensure the security and compliance of cloud environments, including data protection and privacy, and safely migrate existing on-premises applications, workloads, and databases to public cloud platforms.
The Cloud Specialist will monitor and analyze cloud infrastructure performance, proactively identify and resolve issues, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to optimize cloud-based environments for performance, scalability, and cost-effectiveness. The consultant will also design controls and processes that utilize available audit tools and maintain up-to-date and extensive knowledge of cloud products and technology.
Responsibilities: - Develop and modify scalable architecture to support Infrastructure-as-a-Service (IaaS) and Platform-as-a-Service (PaaS) platforms.
- Ensure the security and compliance of cloud environments, including data protection and privacy.
- Move existing on-premises applications, workloads, and databases to public cloud platforms safely.
- Monitor and analyze cloud infrastructure performance to identify and resolve issues proactively.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to optimize cloud-based environments for performance, scalability, and cost-effectiveness.
- Design controls and processes that utilize available audit tools.
- Maintain up-to-date and extensive knowledge of cloud products and technology.
Requirements: - Proficiency in major public cloud platforms, including AWS, Azure, or GCP required.
- Experience with automation and scripting languages such as Python, Bash, or PowerShell required.
- Understanding of cloud networking, Virtual Private Clouds (VPCs), and firewalls required.
- dvanced VM management, Windows Server/Active Directory, and Linux administration required.
- dvanced experience with Microsoft Windows Server required.
- SME-level experience with Azure/AWS required.
- Intermediate experience with Microsoft 365 required.
- Intermediate PowerShell experience required.
- dvanced networking experience required.
Preferred Qualifications: - 5-6 years of experience working with AWS or Microsoft Azure highly desired.
- Prior government or regulated industry experience highly desired.
