Description & RequirementsMANTECH is seeking a motivated, career and customer-oriented Cloud Software Engineer to join our team in Annapolis Junction, MD.
Responsibilities:
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following:
- Develops, maintains, and enhances complex and diverse software systems (e.g., processing-intensive analytics, novel algorithm development, manipulation of extremely large data sets, real-time systems, and business management information systems) based upon documented requirements.
- Review and tests software components for adherence to the design requirements and documents test results.
- Utilize software development and software design methodologies appropriate to the development environment.
- Provide specific input to the software components of system design to include hardware/software trade-offs, software reuse, use of Commercial Off-the-shelf (COTS)/Government Off-the-shelf (GOTS) in place of new development, and requirements analysis and synthesis from system level to individual software components.
- Provide Help Desk Support; ticket handling/resolution, utilizing JIRA.
Minimum/Basic Qualifications:- 10 years of experience programming with at least one (1) object-oriented language, such as but not limited to Java, Python, C++ or Go, within the last 1 year
- Or 10 years of experience building large platforms by integrating open source or commercial software together with automation scripting.
- Demonstrated experience designing and developing applications in a Linux operating environment.
- 4 years functional experience with containerization technologies like Docker
- 6 years functional experience deploying applications to container orchestration technologies such as but not limited to Kubernetes
- Proficiency with Git/Gitlab; some knowledge and experience with CI/CD
Preferred Qualifications: - Experience with Flux (FluxCD)
- Experience with OAuth2 Proxy
- Experience with Jira and Confluence
Clearance Requirements: - Must have a current active Top Secret/SCI with Polygraph
Physical Requirements: - The candidate must be able to move, carry and deliver workstations from inside the office to customer's desk. The person in this position must be able to remain in a stationary position 50% of the time. Must communicate with co-workers, management, and customers, via email, phone, and or virtual communication, which may involve delivering presentations.
The projected compensation range for this position is $107,900.00-$179,400.00. There are differentiating factors that can impact a final salary/hourly rate, including, but not limited to, Contract Wage Determination, relevant work experience, skills and competencies that align to the specified role, geographic location (For Remote Opportunities), education and certifications as well as Federal Government Contract Labor categories.
