Full Job Description
We are seeking a Cloud Solutions Architect to define the Automated Courier Will-Call Scheduling solution within our customers Diagnostics business. This initiative aims to automate the current manual process of scheduling courier sample pickups-currently handled via phone calls and emails-by integrating the Diagnostics Portal, customer locations, and third-party logistics providers through an API-led architecture on Azure.
The architect will lead the design of a solution that enables veterinary offices to seamlessly schedule courier pickups through a digital interface, eliminating manual steps and ensuring full visibility into the chain of custody. The solution will include features such as booking slots, real-time tracking, and automated communication with couriers via their APIs. The architect will work closely with stakeholders from reference labs, courier partners, and internal teams to capture user stories, validate expected behaviors, and ensure alignment with business objectives. This role involves creating high-level solution designs, integration blueprints, and API specifications while leveraging Azure services and modern integration patterns.

Required Skills & Experience
• Proven experience as a Solution or Integration Architect designing API-led, event-driven architectures.
• Strong expertise in Azure Integration Services (API Management, Logic Apps, Functions, Service Bus, Event Grid) and understanding of how these components work together.
• Ability to translate business and functional requirements into integration blueprints and API specifications.
• Hands-on experience with data flow diagrams (DFDs) and high-level solution design documentation.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills; able to lead discovery and design sessions independently.
• Familiarity with Confluence, Miro, or Visio for documenting HLSDs, architecture diagrams, and data flows.
Self-directed and comfortable navigating ambiguity to drive structure from evolving requirements.

Nice to Have Skills & Experience
• Experience with Databricks for data processing and analytics.
• Background in courier logistics integrations or similar third-party API ecosystems.
• Prior experience migrating from MuleSoft to Azure-based integration platforms.
• Knowledge of Salesforce Service Cloud integrations.
Understanding of chain of custody and compliance requirements in regulated industries.
