What's Exciting About the Role

Verifone is seeking a Cloud & Infrastructure Engineer to support and manage the organization's Azure cloud environment from an infrastructure-focused perspective. This role will be responsible for implementing, maintaining, and optimizing portable authentication and identity management solutions while ensuring the reliability, security, and performance of core infrastructure services. The position is well-suited for a candidate with experience in systems administration and managing enterprise cloud infrastructure.
Responsibilities
  • Manage and maintain the Microsoft Azure Cloud environment.
  • Manage and support solutions such as Intune/legacy SCCM; Microsoft SCCM, SQL Server Clustering, IIS, capacity management, change control, storage management, application processing, network, and security services, for production and test environments.
  • Manage Privileged Access Management (PAM), Identity Access Management (IAM), Multi Factor Authentication), Single Sign On (SSO), Manage Certificate Authority and Certs.
  • Work closely with product development on key activities and projects in a timely manner.
  • Coordinate, prioritize, and provide regular status updates on strategic initiatives and project deliverables.
  • Establishes and regularly report metrics needed for contentious improvement, capacity management, along with general requirement of systems development lifecycle.
  • Builds processes for rapid problem detection and resolution including escalation policies used by network operations centers staff and incident response teams.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in MIS, CIS, or a related technology discipline, or 10+ years of directly relevant IT experience in lieu of a degree.
  • 10+ years of professional experience in Information Technology, including experience supporting enterprise infrastructure and cloud environments.
  • Relevant certifications such as Azure Administrator, MCSE, MCTS, MCITP, MCPD, etc. is preferred.
  • Expertise in MS Windows Server 2019, 2016, 2012, IIS, SCCM 2016, Active Directory, SQL 2017/2019.
  • Knowledge with Linux OS.
  • 5-7 years' experience operating large, high-availability, secure, redundant, transaction-based systems.
  • Strong working knowledge of all data center technologies, including Microsoft Azure Cloud, Windows, MS SQL server database management, VMware, networking, clustering, and internet security.
  • Strong working knowledge and experience supporting ITIL standards such as incident management and change control.
  • Strong backup and recovery methodologies including disaster recovery.
  • Hands on with Azure Active Directory, Active directory Administration, IIS, SQL Server management, and SQL Clustering.
  • Good understanding with information security or cyber security.
  • Good understanding of network protocols and network trouble shooting.
