TechnoMile is seeking a hands-on Cloud Engineer to help build, operate, secure, and improve our AWS cloud environments, including AWS GovCloud. This mid-level role is well suited for an engineer who enjoys working across cloud infrastructure, Linux systems, automation, deployments, monitoring, and production support.

You will collaborate with CloudOps, DevOps, Engineering, Security, and Support teams to maintain reliable cloud platforms, automate repeatable work, troubleshoot complex issues, and strengthen the performance, security, and cost efficiency of our SaaS environments.

What you'll do:

Cloud Infrastructure & Operations
  • Build, configure, and maintain AWS infrastructure supporting production and non-production environments, including AWS GovCloud.
  • Work with core AWS services such as EC2, S3, RDS, VPC, IAM, Route 53, load balancers, CloudWatch, and CloudTrail.
  • Administer Linux-based systems and support configuration, patching, upgrades, performance tuning, backups, and lifecycle management.
  • Monitor availability, capacity, performance, security, and cloud spend; recommend and implement practical improvements.
  • Help maintain resilient architectures through backups, recovery procedures, high-availability patterns, and operational readiness.

Automation, Infrastructure as Code & Delivery
  • Provision and manage cloud resources using Terraform and/or AWS CloudFormation.
  • Create and maintain reusable infrastructure templates that improve consistency across environments.
  • Automate routine operational tasks using Python, Bash, AWS CLI, Lambda, or similar tools.
  • Support and improve CI/CD pipelines and release workflows using tools such as Jenkins, AWS CodePipeline, CodeBuild, GitHub Actions, or comparable platforms.
  • Support containerized applications using Docker and Kubernetes services such as Amazon EKS or ECS.

Monitoring, Security & Production Support
  • Implement and maintain monitoring, alerting, dashboards, and centralized logging to identify issues before they affect customers.
  • Troubleshoot cloud, networking, Linux, database, deployment, and application-platform issues; escalate and collaborate as needed.
  • Participate in incident response, including diagnosis, mitigation, root cause analysis, and follow-up remediation.
  • Apply AWS security best practices across IAM, networking, encryption, logging, vulnerability remediation, and access management.
  • Support compliance-driven environments and assist with evidence collection, documentation, and security-control implementation.
  • Create and maintain runbooks, architecture documentation, operational procedures, and knowledge-base content.
  • Participate in an on-call rotation as required.

Required Qualifications
  • 3-5 years of experience in Cloud Engineering, Cloud Operations, DevOps, Systems Engineering, or a related infrastructure role.
  • Hands-on experience building and supporting AWS environments in production.
  • Working knowledge of AWS networking, including VPCs, subnets, routing, security groups, VPN connectivity, and load balancing.
  • Experience with key AWS services such as EC2, S3, RDS, IAM, CloudWatch, and CloudTrail.
  • Experience with Infrastructure as Code using Terraform and/or CloudFormation.
  • Strong Linux administration and troubleshooting skills.
  • Experience automating operational tasks with Bash, Python, AWS CLI, or similar scripting tools.
  • Familiarity with CI/CD concepts and modern source-control workflows.
  • Ability to troubleshoot production issues methodically and communicate clearly with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • US Citizenship is required for access to AWS GovCloud environments.

Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience with AWS GovCloud or other regulated cloud environments.
  • Experience with Docker, Kubernetes, Amazon EKS, or Amazon ECS.
  • Familiarity with PostgreSQL or other relational databases, including backups, performance monitoring, and basic troubleshooting.
  • Exposure to FedRAMP, SOC 2, CMMC, DoD, or similar security and compliance frameworks.
  • Experience with centralized logging, SIEM, observability, or configuration-management tools.
