Niyam is seeking a Cloud Engineer. We offer competitive compensation and benefits. This position is remote, but may require some travel. The ideal candidate will participate and support the design, implementation, and optimization of cloud infrastructure.
Role and Responsibilities:
- Cloud Architecture Design: Participate in and support the design and implementation of scalable, secure, and reliable cloud infrastructure using AWS, Azure, GCP, and OCI.
- Ownership: Proactive engagement and ownership with successful delivery of complex cloud projects, from design, implementation to deployment and operations.
- Cloud Networking & Security: Establish and maintain robust cloud network security protocols and ensure compliance with industry standards.
- DevOps & Automation: Develop and implement automation strategies to streamline cloud operations, utilizing tools like CI/CD pipelines and infrastructure-as-code (IaC).
- Collaboration & Solution Delivery: Work closely with cross-functional teams, including software development, IT security, and business units, to ensure quality delivery of cloud-based solutions.
- Cloud Strategy: Align cloud strategies with overall business objectives, identifying opportunities for innovation and cost optimization.
- Continuous Improvement: Stay updated on emerging cloud technologies and trends, driving innovation and improvement in cloud services.
Qualifications and Education Requirements:
- US Citizen with ability to obtain an NIH clearance.
- Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related field.
- Cloud Expertise: Deep understanding of cloud architecture and services across AWS, Azure, GCP, and OCI, including infrastructure design, security, and multi-cloud strategies.
- Cloud Implementation: Develop and implement scalable, secure, and reliable cloud architectures on AWS or Azure, aligning with industry best practices and organizational requirements.
- Automation & DevOps: Strong ability to automate cloud infrastructure using IaC tools (Terraform, CloudFormation) and CI/CD pipelines to improve deployment efficiency and reliability.
- System Administration: In-depth experience managing Linux/Unix and Windows environments, including performance tuning, patch management, and disaster recovery.
- Problem-Solving: Strong analytical skills with the ability to troubleshoot complex cloud issues and design robust solutions.
- Adaptability: Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to evolving cloud technologies and business needs.
- Cost Optimization: Expertise in designing cost-effective cloud solutions with an emphasis on reducing operational expenses while maximizing performance.
- Business Acumen: Ability to align cloud strategies with overall business goals, contributing to organizational growth and operational efficiency.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills with the ability to work with diverse teams and stakeholders.
Preferred Skills and Qualifications
- Prior Federal Contract Experience
- Relevant solutions architect certifications in AWS, Azure, GCP, or OCI is highly desired.
