Summary:As a Cloud Engineer you will support our federal client's mission to accelerate discovery and delivery of identity and network-based intelligence to counter national security threat actors by applying experience relevant in an intelligence domain. The appropriate candidate is required to have the following skills.
Essential Duties and Responsibilites:- Provide technical expertise in range of cloud technologies to include cloud development, cloud architecture, cloud system engineering, cloud security, DevSecOps engineering and operations and Agile development methodologies
- Leads team on projects of various layers of complexity and creates solution involving or affecting financial, scheduling, methodology, tools and prepares long and short-range plans for application selection, system development, processes, procedures and producing methods
- Acts as a liaison to take the project requirements from the customer and then translate that to a technical requirement
- Manage the project stakeholders and works with them as a technical point of contact for everything related to cloud engineering
- Plan, execute and close projects that meet or exceed customer expectation
- Understanding customer requirements and project KPIs
- Implementing various development, testing, automation tools and IT Infrastructure
- Planning the team structure, activities, and involvement in project management activities
- Setting up the tools and the required infrastructure
- Defining and setting development, test, release, update and support the DevSecOps process
- Have a technical skill to review, verify and validate the software code developed in the project
- Troubleshooting the techniques and fixing the code bugs
- Monitoring the process during the entire lifecycle for its adherence and updating or creating new processes for improvement and minimizing the wastage
- Encouraging and building automated processes wherever possible
- Identifying and deploying security measures by continuously performing vulnerability assessment and risk management
- Incident management and root cause analysis
- Coordination and communication with team and with customers both external and internal
- Selecting and deploying appropriate CI/CD tools
- Managing periodic reporting on the progress to the management and customer
- Maintain code integrity and organization
- Collaborate with the rest of engineering team to design and launch new features. Includes coordination and documentation of deployment procedures, release plans, etc.
- Keen interest in learning and using the latest software tools, methods, and technologies to solve real world problem sets vital to national security
- Support off-hours deployment such as evening or weekends.
- Co-location: High colocation, 70-80% onsite.
Required Qualifications, Education, and Experience:- Active TS/SCI clearance
- Understanding of cloud architectures and enabling tools and technologies, such as, AWS Cloud Architecture, AWS Public Cloud, Azure Cloud Services, Cloud Engineering, Enterprise Cloud.
- Amazon Web Services (AWS): Foundation
- Cloud Architecture Design: Foundation
- Cloud Computing: Foundation
- Experience with Agile development methodology
- Working knowledge with Collaboration tools, such as, Jira and Confluence
Desired Qualifications, Education, and Experience:- CompTIA Security +
- AWS Certified Developer Associate or Solution Architect, Similar certification in Azure or GCP preferred
- Certification in one of the Ci/CD tools preferrable Gitlab or Jenkins or attended courses in those
- ITIL Certification a plus
- Experience with DevOps environments
- Expertise in various COTS, GOTS and open-source tools which support development of data integration and visualization applications
- Experience with cloud message APIs and usage of push notifications

General Factors:- Depending on project requirements, may be required to work within a compressed schedule; overtime should be expected when schedules demand it.
- Willing to travel, if needed.
- No Relocation.
- Must be able to sit/stand at a desk for long-periods and must be able to lift 20 pounds occasionally.
- Must be able to multi-task and rapidly change priorities with limited notice.
