Full Job Description
Auria is looking to hire a Cloud Engineer to support a classified mission operations program for the U.S. Space Force. This role supports the Cloud Architect on AWS environment configuration, cloud service provisioning, and infrastructure buildout in a classified GovCloud environment.

Primary work location is Colorado Springs, CO (hybrid). Travel to Government and Auria facilities may be required.

WHAT YOU CAN EXPECT TO DO:

  • Support the Cloud Architect in AWS environment configuration, cloud service provisioning, and authorization environment buildout.
  • Automate infrastructure provisioning and management using Terraform, Ansible, or CloudFormation; implement infrastructure-as-code standards established by the Cloud Architect.
  • Design, configure, and maintain enterprise cloud systems including servers, storage, virtualization, and cloud infrastructure in a classified AWS GovCloud environment.
  • Implement and maintain system monitoring, alerting, backup, and disaster recovery solutions aligned with DoW security requirements.
  • Collaborate with the Network Architect, Cybersecurity Lead, and DevSecOps Lead to ensure cloud environment configurations support the program security posture and ATO objectives.
  • Participate in on-call rotation and incident response as required.

  • 8-12 years of experience in cloud engineering or systems engineering roles.
  • Proficiency in AWS cloud services; experience with classified cloud environments (GovCloud or equivalent).
  • Experience with infrastructure automation (Terraform, Ansible) and containerization (Docker, Kubernetes).
  • Strong scripting skills in Bash and Python; knowledge of networking fundamentals and cloud security practices.

WHAT THE TEAM PREFERS:

  • Current U.S. Government Top SECRET clearance.
  • Experience supporting DoW, U.S. Space Force, or Space Systems Command programs in an AWS environment.
  • Familiarity with Zero Trust, RMF, or classified regulated cloud environments.
  • Experience with Keycloak or equivalent IAM solutions.
  • Certifications: CKA, Security+, AWS SysOps Administrator, or RHCSA.
  • Hands-on experience with CI/CD and DevSecOps toolchains in a classified environment.


PAY TRANSPARENCY: The salary offered will be based on the selected candidate's qualifications - skills, education & experience - and the position level. $131,889-$170,000
