About the Role

The Functional CLM Solution Architect is a trusted advisor within Kicksaw's CLM Delivery team, reporting to the Delivery Manager. In this highly consultative role, you'll partner closely with executive stakeholders, Legal, Sales, Procurement, Contract Operations, and IT teams to translate complex business requirements into scalable Contract Lifecycle Management (CLM) solutions.

You'll lead discovery workshops, define future-state business processes, design enterprise CLM solutions, and guide clients through transformational initiatives using Conga CLM and related Salesforce technologies. Working alongside Technical Architects and delivery teams, you'll balance business objectives with platform capabilities to deliver practical, scalable solutions that improve contract operations and drive long-term client success.

Key Responsibilities

Solution Design & Delivery
  • Lead functional solution architecture for enterprise Contract Lifecycle Management implementations.
  • Design scalable end-to-end contract lifecycle solutions aligned with client business objectives.
  • Design and optimize contract lifecycle processes including:
    • Contract requests
    • Authoring
    • Clause management
    • Approval workflows
    • Negotiation
    • Electronic signature
    • Obligation management
    • Amendments
    • Renewals
    • Reporting and analytics
  • Develop future-state business processes, operating models, implementation roadmaps, and governance frameworks.
  • Define template strategies, clause libraries, approval matrices, and contracting policies.
  • Balance business requirements with platform capabilities and implementation best practices.
  • Guide configuration decisions while minimizing unnecessary customization.
  • Ensure end-to-end solution integrity across Conga CLM, Salesforce, and integrated enterprise systems.
  • Partner with Technical Architects to ensure functional and technical designs remain aligned throughout implementation.
  • Deliver accurate implementation estimates and solution documentation.
  • Present solution demonstrations and recommendations throughout the project lifecycle.
Technical Discovery & Testing
  • Lead executive discovery workshops and business process assessments.
  • Analyze current-state contract processes and identify opportunities for automation and optimization.
  • Translate complex business needs into clear functional requirements and scalable solution designs.
  • Recommend industry best practices across Legal, Sales, Procurement, Contract Operations, and IT organizations.
  • Identify solution risks, governance considerations, and scalability challenges while proposing practical recommendations.
  • Support testing strategy, user acceptance testing (UAT), deployment planning, and solution adoption.
  • Ensure solution quality throughout implementation by partnering closely with delivery teams.
Client Engagement & Communication
  • Serve as a trusted advisor to executive stakeholders throughout client engagements.
  • Build strong relationships across Legal, Procurement, Sales, IT, and executive leadership teams.
  • Present solution recommendations, implementation strategies, and long-term CLM roadmaps.
  • Guide clients through business process transformation and organizational change.
  • Recommend best practices for contract governance, lifecycle management, and enterprise contracting operations.
  • Communicate clearly and effectively through executive presentations, workshops, documentation, Slack, and client meetings.
Team Collaboration & Mentorship
  • Partner closely with Technical Architects, Developers, Consultants, and Delivery Managers to deliver successful implementations.
  • Mentor Consultants and Business Analysts on solution architecture, business process design, and CLM best practices.
  • Share knowledge and contribute to the continued growth of Kicksaw's CLM Service Line.
  • Foster collaboration across delivery teams while continuously improving delivery standards and reusable assets.
  • Incorporate AI tools and emerging technologies to improve delivery quality, documentation, and client outcomes.
Professional Growth
  • Stay current on Conga products, Salesforce platform capabilities, AI-assisted contracting, and CLM industry trends.
  • Pursue relevant Salesforce and Conga certifications.
