Clinical Workflow Lead, Radiology to join our team. This role offers
remote flexibility, with the potential for either a hybrid or fully remote arrangement depending on final operational needs, alongside periodic travel for key meetings and projects.
The
Clinical Workflow Lead, Radiology will own the end-to-end radiology diagnostic workflow, align National Teleradiology Program (NTP) operations, optimize worklists, and ensure seamless radiology informatics integration across enterprise systems.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:- Lead the operational optimization and technical alignment of diagnostic radiology workflows, worklists, reporting, and peer learning tools across enterprise health environments.
- Direct the integration of National Teleradiology Program (NTP) workflows with local facility operations to support multi-site reading models and teleradiology fit.
- Collaborate directly with radiologists, clinical leadership, and imaging stakeholders to drive engagement, establish workflow standards, and maintain clinical credibility.
- Ensure seamless workflow-to-architecture alignment between Picture Archiving and Communication Systems (PACS), Radiology Information Systems (RIS), enterprise viewers, and reporting systems in coordination with enterprise architects.
- Oversee specialized imaging workflows, Quality Assurance (QA) frameworks, and compliance for subspecialties including mammography and nuclear medicine.
- Partner with deployment and transition teams during site cutovers to manage operational change, validate reading workflows, and resolve clinical escalations.
Minimum Qualifications:- Bachelor's degree in healthcare or technical discipline with 10+ years of relevant work experience, or an equivalent combination of education and relevant work experience.
- Experience in radiology workflow optimization and PACS/RIS implementation within enterprise healthcare environments or regional health networks.
- Experience with national or multi-facility reading models, teleradiology workflow integration, and NTP operational alignment.
- Background in clinical radiology operations with technical familiarity across PACS, RIS, speech recognition, and reporting integration.
- Experience supporting specialized imaging workflows, including mammography and nuclear medicine standards and QA processes.
- Track record of direct engagement with radiologist stakeholders, clinical leads, and multidisciplinary healthcare teams.
Preferred Qualifications:- Certified Imaging Informatics Professional (CIIP) certification or related credentials.
- American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) credential or clinical radiology background.
- Experience supporting federal healthcare systems (e.g., Department of Veterans Affairs, Defense Health Agency), enterprise Veterans Health Information Systems and Technology Architecture (VistA) Imaging, or national VA Enterprise Cloud (VAEC) clinical platforms.
- Master's degree in Health Informatics, Healthcare Administration, or a related discipline.
Clearance Requirements:- U.S. Citizenship is required.
- Must be able to obtain and maintain a Department of Veterans Affairs Moderate Risk Background Investigation (BI) or Public Trust clearance.
Physical Requirements:- Must be able to remain in a stationary position 50% of the time.
- Needs to occasionally move about inside the office and clinical facilities to engage with radiology staff and leadership.
- Frequently communicates with co-workers, management, and clinical customer stakeholders, which may involve delivering technical briefings; must be able to exchange accurate information in these situations.
The projected compensation range for this position is $128,800.00-$214,500.00. There are differentiating factors that can impact a final salary/hourly rate, including, but not limited to, Contract Wage Determination, relevant work experience, skills and competencies that align to the specified role, geographic location (For Remote Opportunities), education and certifications as well as Federal Government Contract Labor categories.
