About the Role
The role of the Clinical Vendor Management Specialist is to serve as an integral member of the Clinical Operations team by sourcing, networking, and recruiting physicians and specialists to provide patient referrals, procedural support, or consulting services in support of all project/trials. In addition, this role may participate in the sourcing, networking, and recruiting of companies and vendors in support of unique study procedures. They will be responsible for managing project/trials and timelines in collaboration with the Project Management and Clinical Operations teams to ensure the fulfillment of every project/trial and client need. Moreover, they will be responsible for the maintenance and further development of current established partnerships and relationships. This is a hybrid position.
What You’ll Do Here
Reviews project/trial protocols and identifies various recruiting needs, and/or unique procedural needs
Sources appropriate specialists, physicians, or vendors to address these specific needs of a project.
Helps specialists, physicians, or vendors understand exactly what services are needed, and how often, for a specific study.
Identifies referring physicians for all therapeutic areas and actively promotes Altasciences to the medical community at large
Responsible for initiating meetings and providing general capabilities presentation or other project/trial specific presentations either in person or virtually.
Responsible for initiating Confidential Disclosure Agreements (CDAs) and seeing them through to final signature.
Responsible for requesting Master Service Agreement (MSA) from the Contracts & Proposal Team and seeing them through to final signature.
Liaises between the Contracts & Proposal Team and the Physician(s) or company to negotiate mutually agreeable rates for services to be rendered, and responsible for ensuring full execution of agreement
Responsible for including but not limited to:
Sourcing and speaking with potential physicians and support staff at their offices or remotely
Sourcing and speaking with potential companies and their management team
Maintains professional relationships with all companies and physicians including their staff
Makes regular and scheduled service calls to referring physicians offices.
Tracks and trends physician screening, project/trial enrollment, and/or consulting hours and payment in collaboration with project/trial Project Manager or General Manager when related to pre-award consulting activities.
Assess productivity of physician’s database as it relates to specific project/trials or companies’ capabilities as it relates to specific procedural needs
Provide physicians with a monthly patient screening progress report in collaboration with the Recruitment Team.
Develops strategies including but not limited to: increase physician screening and increase patient referrals
Participate in daily and weekly team meetings
Identifies and further develops department Standard Operating Procedures and training materials on an as needed basis
Any other special assignments or projects as requested by management in support of a study project.
What You’ll Need to Succeed
High School Diploma or GED, required.
Bachelor’s Degree in a related field, preferred
Minimum of 2 years of related experience
Healthcare certifications highly preferred
MS Word, Excel, Outlook and Power Point
Language(s) Skills:
Ability to read and interpret technical documents and industry specific manuals.
Ability to write advanced reports and correspondence.
Ability to speak effectively before groups of the organization.
Other Requirements:
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Well-developed interpersonal skills are required.
Personal/professional integrity and proven discretion in handling confidential information.
Ability to develop strong trusting relationships in order to gain support and achieve results.
Capable of managing multiple conflicting priorities.
Must be self-directed, motivated, and have a willingness to take the initiative to identify and anticipate client needs and make recommendations for implementation.
Relevant industry experience a plus.
What We Offer
The salary range estimated for this position is $79,000 - $120,000. Please note that salaries vary within the range based on factors including, but not limited to, prior relevant experience, skills, education, certification, location as well as internal equity and market data.
