Job Summary:

The Specialty Services Engagement Manager is responsible for advancing in-network referrals and optimizing network utilization through strategic provider engagement, data insights, and cross-functional collaboration. This highly collaborative and evolving role blends internal sales, provider engagement, and data-informed decision-making to support care coordination, minimize referral leakage, and ensure patients receive high-quality care within LifeStance's comprehensive services.
Scope may adapt based on business needs, market dynamics, and organizational priorities

Duties/Responsibilities:

1. Internal Marketing & Communication

  • Educate internal stakeholders and affiliated partners, as appropriate, on services, specialties, and capabilities across the organization


  • Promote the use of clinical pathways and other best practices to guide appropriate, evidence-based referrals


  • Develop and distribute internal communications and/or partner with marketing to support resource development (e.g., referral guides, newsletters, updates)


  • Highlight success stories and emerging opportunities to foster collaboration and awareness


2. Provider Relationship Building & Engagement

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with referring providers and care teams across assigned regions or service lines


  • Serve as a key liaison to facilitate communication, resolve concerns, and enhance the referral experience


  • Identify provider needs and barriers through ongoing engagement, feedback, and data insights


  • Promote network engagement and loyalty through education, support, and continuous improvement efforts


3. Data Analysis & Strategic Planning

  • Analyze referral patterns and trends to identify insights, risks, and opportunities for optimization


  • Monitor network utilization and contribute to performance tracking across service lines


  • Use data to inform strategy, prioritizing high-impact initiatives aligned with organizational goals


  • Collaborate with leadership and cross-functional partners (e.g., Clinical, Operations, Marketing) to develop and implement targeted initiatives


4. Operational Support & Problem Solving

  • Identify and reduce referral leakage by understanding root causes and scalable solutions.


  • Facilitate access to care, improve scheduling efficiency, and eliminate barriers to specialty services.


  • Act as a resource to resolve issues related to referrals, communication, or coordination among providers and departments.


  • Participate in and/or lead special projects and initiatives as business needs evolve


Required Skills/Abilities:

  • Strong understanding of referral processes, clinical workflows, and healthcare service delivery.


  • Excellent interpersonal, communication, and relationship management skills.


  • Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret data and develop actionable strategies.


  • Knowledge of CRM tools, EMRs, and referral management systems preferred.


  • A commitment to continuous learning and improvement based on current clinical best practices and standards of care.


  • Effective at communicating and translating complexity to a clinical audience


  • Proven ability to improve business processes, methods, quality, and decision-making to achieve meaningful, measurable improvements


Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree in healthcare administration, business, marketing, or a related field. Master's preferred. Clinical Licensure & Experience in patient care delivery a strong plus.


  • 3-5 years of experience in healthcare provider relations, network engagement, or care coordination.


  • Other experience or certification requirements

COMPENSATION: $100,000 - $110,000/annually

LifeStance provides the compensation range and benefits that it in good faith believes it might pay and/or offer for this position.
