Full Job Description
About the role

Following our successful expansion into the U.S. and continued growth across Europe, we are seeking a Clinical Specialist to help drive our Scientific function from our Austin or Barcelona hub. Reporting directly to our Chief Scientific Officer, this person will play a critical role in ensuring that Aika delivers clinically rigorous, scientifically credible, and high-impact outcomes for our clients.

At Biorce, our Scientific team is organised across three verticals: Products (working hand-in-hand with engineering and product to validate, refine, and shape what Aika does), Scientific Solutions (supporting our commercial team in client demos, onboarding, and ongoing scientific guidance), and Scientific Communications (translating our work into articles, publications, and peer-reviewed papers). During the interview process, we'll explore your experience and career motivations together to identify the vertical where you'll have the most impact.

Who We're Looking For:

Someone with a strong clinical or scientific foundation who is excited about working at the intersection of science and AI. We're looking for a sharp, curious professional who can hold their own in clinical conversations, write clearly, and adapt quickly in a fast-moving environment.

This person should be able to take ownership of their work, bring rigor and attention to detail to everything they touch, and grow into the vertical that best matches their strengths.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Apply clinical and scientific expertise to support the validation, accuracy, and credibility of Aika's outputs.
  • Collaborate across product, engineering, commercial, and scientific teams to ensure clinical relevance in everything we build and deliver.
  • Contribute to client-facing or product-facing work: depending on vertical, this may include demos, onboarding, case studies, scientific writing, or product validation.
  • Maintain high standards of quality, documentation, and scientific rigor across all deliverables.
  • Stay close to industry developments in clinical research, regulatory expectations, and AI in healthcare.
  • Depending on the chosen vertical, work may include being embedded with clients post-onboarding: providing ongoing scientific guidance, supporting their use of the platform, and acting as their dedicated scientific partner.

Requirements

Must-haves

  • 2+ years of experience in clinical research, clinical trials, or a related scientific/regulatory function in pharma, biotech, or CRO
  • Advanced scientific or clinical background (life sciences, pharmacy, medicine, biotech, or related)
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English
  • Strong attention to detail and a rigorous approach to data quality and documentation
  • Comfortable in a fast-paced, high-growth, AI-driven environment

Nice-to-Haves

  • Experience with regulatory submissions (FDA, EMA, or equivalent)
  • Exposure to digital health, health tech, or AI-powered tools in a clinical context
  • Published scientific work or experience producing client-facing scientific materials

Why Join Us?

  • A dynamic work environment with an international team, where collaboration and diversity thrive.
  • Work alongside top talent, united by a shared purpose and committed to making a real impact.
  • Comprehensive private health coverage to ensure your physical and mental well-being.
  • Hybrid work model offering flexibility to balance your professional and personal life.
  • Company events to celebrate achievements and enjoy time together.
  • Get equipped with a MacBook to enhance your productivity and work experience.
  • Our office is pet-friendly! You'll likely be greeted by a few wagging tails upon arrival.
