A Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP) in New York provides comprehensive behavioral health evaluations, diagnoses mental conditions using the DSM-%, manages psychotropic medication regimens, and collaborates with interdisciplinary care teams in outpatient clinics, hospitals or specialized facilities.
- Bachelor's Degree in Nursing
- Master's Degree in Nursing / Nurse Practitioner
- Minimum two (2) years of experience as Registered Nurse in an ambulatory care clinical setting.
- Current New York State Licensed Registered Professional Nurse
- Current New York State Licensed Nurse Practitioner.
- Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS)
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS)
- Certified Neuroscience Registered Nurse from the American Board of Neuroscience Nursing
- Must have strong written and oral communication skills.
- Prior experience using an Electronic Medical Record preferred.
- Bilingual English/Spanish or English/Creole preferred.
