Summary

About the Position: This position is located at 341st Medical Group at Malstrom AFB, Montana.

This is a Direct Hire Solicitation.

Duties

Help

  • Provide a broad array of clinical psychology and specialized clinical health psychological evaluations.
  • Assess and provides crisis intervention for service members, retirees, their family members and civilian patients of the Medical Treatment Facility.
  • Plan, design and provide didactics, seminar presentations, and lectures as part of the Clinical Psychology Training program.
  • Develop and implement strategies to enhance the occurrence of health-promoting behaviors and wellness.
  • Conduct psychological testing and neurocognitive screens (within scope of expertise) to military and other beneficiaries.
  • Maintain appropriate documentation of patient care in accordance with current unit and hospital SOPs.
  • Determine clinical and administrative priorities for patient selection and screens consults for all providers within the service.

  • Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
  • A Personnel Security Investigation is required.

  • This position is a Testing Designated Position subject to pre-employment screening and random drug testing. Selectees will be required to consent to participation in random drug urinalysis testing.

Basic Requirement for Clinical Psychologist:

Degree: Doctoral Degree (Ph.D. or equivalent) directly related to full professional work in clinical psychology.

In addition to meeting the basic requirement above, to qualify for this position you must also meet the qualification requirements listed below:

Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includesconducting psychological assessments, providing evidence-based treatments, and consulting with medical staff. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the second lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-12).

Some federal jobs allow you to substitute your education for the required experience in order to qualify. For this job, you must meet the qualification requirement using experience aloneno substitution of education for experience is permitted.

License: Position requires a current, active, full, and unrestricted license or registration as a Psychologist from a State, the District of Columbia, the Commonwealth of Puerto Rico, or a territory of the United States.

Education

FOREIGN EDUCATION: If you are using education completed in foreign colleges or universities to meet the qualification requirements, you must show the education credentials have been evaluated by a private organization that specializes in interpretation of foreign education programs and such education has been deemed equivalent to that gained in an accredited U.S. education program; or full credit has been given for the courses at a U.S. accredited college or university.
