Discovery Navigator is a cutting-edge tool utilizing AI and ML and can automate the administrative efforts of medical record review. As a result, users achieve significant cost and time savings allowing for more opportunity to focus on quality results and improving the customer experience rather than spending time on mundane administrative tasks.

Discovery Navigator is seeking a Clinical Specialist to serve as the team's primary clinical expert and a key collaborative partner across the organization. In this role, the Clinical Specialist will help identify and evaluate new AI models that can enhance the product, partner with the Data Science team to develop and maintain models, support client requests and product enhancements, and provide clinical oversight for all models used within Discovery Navigator. The ideal candidate will bring a strong clinical background along with a solid understanding of AI, enabling them to ensure models are clinically accurate, effective, and aligned with client needs. This is a remote position, and the successful candidate must be able to meet all home office environment requirements.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as the primary clinical resource to the Data Science and Development teams in the design, evaluation, and implementation of new models.
  • Provide clinical quality assurance and validation for new data models to ensure accuracy, relevance, and practical application.
  • Partner with clients to define requirements for customizations and enhancements that align with clinical and business needs.
  • Monitor existing models for ongoing clinical accuracy and collaborate with the Data Science and Development teams to address opportunities for improvement.
  • Identify new models, features, and outputs that enhance the Discovery Navigator product and deliver additional value to clients.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders, including Sales, Customer Care, Product, and Accounting, to support a seamless end-to-end client experience.
  • Stay current on market trends, customer priorities, and key performance indicators, and share insights and recommendations with leadership.
  • Translate market feedback and best practices into clear business requirements and user stories that support product enhancement initiatives.


Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree preferred, with a minimum of 10 years of clinical experience in direct patient care, medical review, or a related clinical function.
  • Claims handling experience is strongly preferred.
  • Experience partnering with teams that develop AI or other data-driven models is preferred.
  • Strong analytical and process-oriented mindset, with excellent written, verbal, and presentation skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities effectively in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail and high-quality work.
  • Demonstrated ability to identify opportunities to improve models, outputs, and workflows in ways that enhance productivity, business impact, and revenue potential.
  • Proven success collaborating across stakeholder groups and influencing partners across multiple functional areas.
  • Excellent strategic thinking, project planning, and organizational skills, with a high level of initiative and attention to detail.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office; experience with Jira is preferred.
  • Ability to travel as needed.
