Rank of Clinical Assistant Professor/Associate Professor/Professor and applicable salary are dependent upon candidate's qualifications and experience.

Major/Essential Functions

  • Conduct comprehensive psychiatric evaluations for children and adolescents.
  • Diagnose and treat a range of psychiatric disorders in children and adolescents, including anxiety, depression, ADHD, and behavioral or emotional issues.
  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans, including medication management and psychotherapy.
  • Monitor patient progress and adjust treatment plans as necessary.
  • Participate in department call coverage.
  • Conduct educational activities and/or research related to mental health.
  • Provide supervision, mentoring and teaching to residents and students.


Pay Statement

Compensation is commensurate upon the qualifications of the individual selected and budgetary guidelines of the hiring department, as well as the institutional pay plan. For additional information, please reference the institutional pay plan website at https://app4.ttuhsc.edu/payplan.

Required Qualifications

  • MD/DO or equivalent.
  • Completion of the United States Medical Licensing Examination (USMLE) Step 3.
  • Completion of, or in the process of completing, a residency in psychiatry.
  • Completion of, or in the process of completing, a fellowship in child & adolescent psychiatry.
  • ABMS Board Certified, Board Eligible, or in the process of completing training to become board eligible, in Child & Adolescent Psychiatry.

Visa Information

TTUHSC, at its sole discretion, may initiate new H-1B I-129 visa petitions in accordance with the directive issued by Governor Abbott. Approval from the Texas Workforce Commission is required. On a limited, case-by-case basis, the institution may also sponsor eligible individuals for change-of-status or change-of-employer petitions for qualifying positions. TTUHSC will not pay the $100,000 fee, if applicable.
