Job Summary and QualificationsProvides supportive help to the pharmacist in the practice of pharmacy as a pharmacy technician under the general supervision of a licensed pharmacist and within the scope of practice as a pharmacy technician established by the department of pharmacy and the Texas State Board of Pharmacy, and other duties as assigned

- Consistently contributes to the quality and effective operation of the Department.
- Works independently with minimal supervision. Organizes and prioritizes work assignments. Ensures pharmacy services are provided in a timely manner.
- Attendance, punctuality, punches in and out appropriately
- Attends mandatory staff meetings or keeps current on dept. communication and information. Reviews and signs pharmacy staff meeting minutes. (must have sign or attend meetings 100% of the time)
- Meets dress code. Wears identification badge at all times.
- Performance demonstrates efforts to improve patient satisfaction, lower cost, and improve quality. Familiar with non-formulary policy and therapeutic substitutions at CRMC.
- TECHNICAL COMPTENCIES (% of Time = 30%).
- Fills orders for medications with speed and accuracy for pharmacist to check prior to delivery. Verify orders with medications prior to pharmacist check. (No medication variances with improper filling of orders).
- Maintains & accurately fills the automated dispensing machines. Ensures that a double check of floor stock prior to fill. (No medication variances with improper filling of orders). .
- Accurately performs routine manufacturing and prepackaging. Maintains accurate and complete records of all manufacturing and prepackaging. Ensures that a pharmacist checks all work.
- Accurately files orders, floor stock records, billing records, and other medication documentation as requested by supervisor.
