Job Description:
Summary:
The Clinical Operations Manager is responsible for all clinical operations within the Radiation Therapy Department. The Manager coordinates the activities of all aspects of the radiation oncology clinical processes to include radiation therapy, dosimetry, medical physicist and office visits in conjunction with the Radiation Oncologist. The incumbent is responsible for reviewing patient schedules and assigns duties to the various clinical team in order to prioritize efficient patient flow. Works closely with the Radiation Oncologist to ensure timely treatment expectations are met. The clinical manager is responsible for the clinical productivity for that department and works with the administrative team to develop the operational budget. The Manager is expected to work closely with the nurse navigators to ensure that radiation oncology care is seamless. He or she will troubleshoot clinical equipment issues in conjunction with the vendors and other clinical team and recommend capital equipment replacements and purchases. The Manager also builds relationships with referring providers and markets the service to new providers in the community.

Requirements:

The Clinical Manager must be a registered RTT or RT, have a current CPR certification, hold a current license as required by the state and/or national authority, have education and training that includes all ages of patients from pediatrics to geriatrics, have additional business and personnel management courses, and a minimum of 5 years of clinical experience in radiation oncology at a major radiation oncology therapy center.
