How you'll make an impact in this roleProvide advanced care, consultation, research, management and education in a specific clinical area.
- Provide advanced direct nursing care in accordance with established policies, procedures and protocols of the healthcare organization.
- Serve as an expert consultant for staff in areas of program development, clinical practice, and professional development. Contribute to defining, directing and evaluating the nursing care and functions of clinical staff.
- Manage clinical research projects in support of evidence-based practice and disseminate findings.
- Develop, implement, and evaluate educational plans/programs and utilizes methods, measurements and tools to evaluate achievement of learning goals.
- May assess the learning needs of patients and families and develop and/or implement teaching programs.
What minimum requirements you'll needLicensure / Certification / Registration:
- BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date required. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.
- Licensed Registered Nurse credentialed from the Indiana Board of Nursing obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date required.
- One or more of the following required:
- Clinical Nurse Specialist credentialed from the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC) obtained within 6 Months (180 days) of hire date or job transfer date.
- Clinical Nurse Specialist credentialed from the American Association of Critical Care Nurses (AACN) obtained within 6 Months (180 days) of hire date or job transfer date.
Education:
- Diploma from an accredited school/college of nursing required and Master's degree required.
