ResponsibilitiesThe Clinical Nurse Educator (RN) will oversee the planning, implementation, facilitation, standardization and review of all educational programs, processes, and materials across the continuum of care supporting the Nursing Department and supporting Stella Maris at large with great emphasis on the mission and vision.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:• Through the QA process identify training/educational needs in long-term care and facility-wide if it impacts patient care. Create, implement and facilitate programmatic training and education.
• Plans, coordinates and conducts, in conjunction with the Human Resources Department, orientation for newly hired staff.
• Plans, coordinates and conducts ongoing educational programs including dementia training, dining assistance training, etc. and any additional training that supports culture change and person-centered care.
• Coordinates and facilitates quality assurance activities related to identifying clinical indicators and trends.
• Coordinates and implements ongoing educational programs for staff regarding regulatory guidelines and survey readiness.
• Expected to make a personal commitment to the success of the nursing operation and ultimately to Stella Maris, patients/residents, families and staff.
Requirements• Maryland RN License; BSN preferred, CPR
• Thorough understanding of long term care regulations
• Sub-Acute/ Rehab experience, highly preferred
• Minimum 3 years of progressive education experience
MinUSD $42.06/Hr.
MaxUSD $72.71/Hr.
