The Department of Nursing Academics at MaineHealth is currently seeking a Clinical Nurse Educator - Faculty that will collaborate within the healthcare system to support the undergraduate academic Nursing Programs. By promoting the philosophies, objectives, and learning outcomes of MaineHealth and the Maine Nursing Programs, the Clinical Nurse Educator will foster and maintain strong relationships within the clinical practice settings. In this role, the Clinical Nurse Educator will provide opportunities for students to meet the student learning outcomes through provisions of assigned clinical instruction and student assessment and evaluation.
  • The Clinical Nurse Educator will assist by providing feedback for undergraduate Nursing program curriculum development and assist with the implementation of the systematic clinical evaluation plans set forth by the undergraduate Nursing programs.
  • The goal of the Clinical Nurse Educator-Faculty will be to facilitate clinical learning opportunities for nursing students, to achieve learning outcomes necessary to fulfill the academic Nursing program requirements and be eligible to sit for the NCLEX-RN examination.

The Clinical Nurse Educator - Faculty role facilitates clinical learning opportunities for nursing students to fulfill academic nursing program requirements and to be eligible to sit for the NCLEX-RN examination.

Required Minimum Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities (KSAs)
  • Education: Master's Degree in Nursing or a BSN Degree matriculating into a Master's Degree upon hire required.
  • License/Certifications: Current applicable state(s) license as a Registered Professional Nurse required. Certification in Nursing Education and/or Nursing Professional Development preferred. Current BLS certification required or must obtain within 30 days of start date.
  • Experience: Two years of clinical experience required. Experience in classroom and clinical teaching associated with specialty specific setting preferred. Experience as a clinical instructor for nursing students preferred.

The pay range for this position is $97,177.60 to $131,497.60 per year.

Compensation for part-time positions is determined on a prorated basis consistent with the scheduled hours and applicable full-time equivalent (FTE).
