Surgery Clinical Lead

Take the next step in your veterinary career as the Surgery Clinical Lead at SAGE Concord. In this leadership role, you'll guide a team of Registered Veterinary Technicians and Veterinary Assistants while partnering with board-certified surgeons and anesthesiologists to deliver exceptional specialty patient care. In Your Day-to-Day, You Will
  • Lead, mentor, and support a team of RVTs and Veterinary Assistants within the Surgery department.
  • Foster excellence in patient care, workflow efficiency, and team communication.
  • Provide coaching, training, and performance feedback to support team development.
  • Assist with anesthesia, diagnostics, treatments, and advanced surgical nursing care.
  • Collaborate closely with board-certified surgeons, anesthesiologists, and cross-functional specialty teams.
  • Help create a positive, collaborative, and team-focused hospital culture.

What You Bring
  • 5+ years of recent veterinary clinical experience.
  • Active California RVT license preferred.
  • Previous leadership or mentoring experience preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of anesthesia monitoring, CRIs, drug calculations, and treatment planning.
  • Excellent communication, organization, and problem-solving skills.
  • A collaborative mindset and commitment to exceptional patient care.
