Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Medical Technology or related sciences from an accredited institution preferred.
• 1+ years of laboratory experience in high complexity testing is preferred.
• Nationally recognized ASCP certification in the appropriate specialty is highly sought after.
• Current state licensing for laboratory testing for Florida, California, or Tennessee is mandatory.
• Experience in handling complex laboratory procedures and specimen analysis is essential.

Responsibilities

• Perform clinical laboratory tests proficiently under general supervision and apply independent judgment in assigned specialty.
• Accurately follow specimen handling and testing procedures, maintaining complete and accurate records.
• Verify acceptability of specimens for testing and identify any specimen-related issues per established SOPs.
• Analyze clinical specimens using approved procedures, ensuring quality standards are met.
• Review and release test results, following procedures for reporting critical results to physicians.
• Conduct quality control checks and address QC failures with appropriate colleagues.
• Prepare laboratory stock solutions and reagents while documenting all observed results.
