Clinical Educator Nursing to work with the Operating Room.
We are proud to serve as a high acuity, fast paced, multispecialty operating room and as Loudoun County's first and only designated trauma center - now Level 2. The Perioperative Services Team at Inova Loudoun Hospital supports 8 state-of-the-art operating suites, two special procedure rooms, and the latest technology in minimally invasive robotic surgery: the robotic-assisted daVinci® Surgical System and MAKOplasty® Total Hip and Knee. In addition to our regularly scheduled surgeries, our surgery department is staffed for emergency surgery, 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. Our facility features 16 private Pre-Op rooms and 14 PACU bays where our patients are prepared for surgery and recover post operatively. We are a growing community hospital offering surgical services in: Trauma, General, Breast, Colon-Rectal, Gynecology, Urology, Orthopedics, Podiatry, Neurosurgery, ENT, Vascular, Thoracic, Maxillofacial and Plastic.

Clinical Educator Job Responsibilities: - Utilizes system strategies and tools to assess the competency of new nursing staff members while focusing on quality of care and patient safety goals.
- Integrates theoretical knowledge, evidence-based principles and clinical nursing expertise into educational experiences for both new and experienced team members.
- Prepares annual self-development plans, sets professional goals and seek opportunities for achieving them.
- Contributes to quality and safety initiatives across the organization.
Hours: Full-time, M-F (regular office hours, with some flexibility as needed based on department needs)
Minimum Qualifications:- Education: Master's Degree or BSN and enrolled in Master's program upon start. If RN has a BSN and enrolled in Master's program, RN must meet with their Nurse Leader within 3 months to conduct the following:
- Provide a written plan with anticipated Masters completion date
- Submit a review of transcripts from the school indicating the required pre-requisites and timeline for taking the courses
- Complete Masters within 3 years of start date.
- Experience: 2 years of progressive experience in nursing in designated specialty; 3 months of experience serving as preceptor
- Certification: BLS from the American Heart Association; Licensed or eligible for licensure in the Commonwealth of Virginia as a Registered Nurse or an active multi-state RN License.
