Clinical Director Job Description

The Clinical Director is responsible for monitoring the daily clinical operations of a single region/location of ABA Centers of America with approximately 100 clients. Each clinic provides services to learners who are receiving insurance-funded or private-pay funded services. The Clinical Director ensures there is a clear line of communication between Executive Director, Assistant Clinical Directors, BCBAs and other team members of ABA Centers of America.

Responsibilities:
  • Monitors 2 Assistant Clinical Directors, 14 BCBAs and a total of 100 clients in clinic
  • Ensures the smooth transition of incoming clients and discharging clients
  • Monitors clinical team staffing schedules to ensure continuous delivery of authorized services
  • Monitors operations of day-to-day services to ensure smooth service delivery between all providers
  • Leads weekly BCBA team meetings
  • Attends various leadership meetings at the regional level
  • Interviews and hires new clinical staff of Assistant Directors, BCBAs and BCBA Apprentices
  • Ensures client satisfaction and quality service delivery at an organizational level
  • Supervises interns/apprentices seeking BCBA certification on a weekly basis
  • Ensures BCBAs and RBTs complete and submits daily documentation of services in a timely manner regarding hours of service and services rendered for prompt billing to payors
  • In collaboration with the Director of Training & Professional Development, provides team member and caregiver training and support
  • Engages in problem solving as scheduling and staffing issues arise in conjunction with the Directors of Operations and Executive Director
  • Ensures delivery of clinical practices in accordance with the credentialing board's ethics code
  • Provides final approval of initial treatment plans, re-authorization treatment plans prior to submission to utilization department.
  • Ensures that behavior plans are clinically appropriate and socially significant

Education/Experience:
  • Master's degree in Applied Behavior Analysis
  • Board Certified Behavior Analyst
  • 5 years' experience in ABA field (Preferred)

HIPAA

Team members are required to adhere to policies and procedures implementing HIPAA requirements for the privacy and security of protected health information. Team members are permitted to use and/or disclose only minimum amount of Protected Health Information necessary to complete assigned tasks.

Reports all suspected violation of company's HIPAA policies or procedures to Human Resources.

Environmental Stewardship and Safety
  • All team members are responsible for preserving the cleanliness of the interior and exterior of the facility. Team members are expected to keep work and common break spaces tidy and to adhere to infection control protocols and policies.
  • Team members are expected to adhere to facility safety requirements, report unsafe practices or equipment, and, if applicable, use the appropriate protective equipment as needed.
  • Depending on role, and during the daily course of duties, team members may have to lift, twist, pull or push. Team members must be able to manage these activities up to 60 lbs.
  • Any accident or incident must be reported immediately to a member of management for proper recording.
