Are you an experienced behavioral health clinician ready to take the next step in your career?

Join the Valleywise Health Outpatient Behavioral Health team as a Clinical Coordinator supporting our First Episode Clinic, where you'll combine clinical practice with leadership, mentoring, and program oversight. In this impactful role, you will help guide a multidisciplinary team providing recovery-oriented mental health services to youth and young adults experiencing their first episode of psychosis.

What You'll Do

Under the guidance of the Director of Outpatient Behavioral Health Programs, you will provide clinical leadership and oversight for a multidisciplinary First Episode Clinic team.

In this role, you will:
  • Provide leadership, supervision, training, coaching, and mentoring to clinical and support team members.
  • Support a multidisciplinary team that includes Clinical Social Workers/Counselors, Case Managers, Care Coordinators, Rehabilitation Counselors, Recovery Coaches/Peer Support Specialists, and Registration Scheduling and Support staff.
  • Serve as a practicing behavioral health clinician while providing team leadership and clinical oversight.
  • Provide psychotherapy, assessment, diagnosis, treatment, and psychoeducation for mental, emotional, and behavioral health conditions.
  • Ensure each member has a current assessment and Individual Service Plan (ISP).
  • Monitor ongoing compliance with program fidelity measures and established standards.
  • Partner with individuals and families to strengthen natural supports and promote recovery.
  • Help individuals experiencing first episode psychosis stabilize psychiatric symptoms and develop a clear path toward recovery.
  • Track program output and outcome data and ensure required reporting is completed accurately and on time.
  • Support the development and implementation of effective clinical policies, processes, and workflows.
  • Promote a collaborative, recovery-oriented, trauma-informed approach to behavioral healthcare.

Annual Salary Range: $83,116.80 - $132,995.20

Qualifications

Education:
  • Requires a Master's Degree in a Behavioral Health related field.

Experience:
  • Requires four (4) years of experience providing mental health services that demonstrates an understanding of the required knowledge, skills and abilities.
  • Prefer prior direct or indirect supervisory experience.
  • Prefer experience facilitating groups, providing individual counseling, and working with individuals and families who experience co-occurring mental illness and substance use disorders.

Certification/Licensure:
  • Must be licensed by the AZ Board of Behavioral Health Examiners as either a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), or Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT); or must have either a Licensed Master Social Worker (LMSW) or Licensed Associate Counselor (LAC) AND be able to obtain a LCSW, LPC, or LMFT within 36 months of employment in position.
  • Must obtain a fingerprint card as defined in Arizona Revised Statute (A.R.S.) 36-425.03 and state licensing rule R9-10-1011(A)(4) within 90 days of employment.
  • Requires possession of, and ability to retain, a current, valid AZ-issued driver's license in good standing, and must carry the AZ legally required minimum insurance coverage on a personal vehicle at all times.
  • This position requires operation of a vehicle. Employment is contingent upon meeting the driving eligibility standards outlined in the Valleywise Health Vehicle Use Policy (VUP).
  • Pursuant to Arizona Administrative Code R9-10-306 CHAPTER 10 of the Dept. of Health Services, personnel must be at least 21 years of age, or at least 18 years of age and licensed or certified under A.R.S. Title 32, and providing services within the personnel member's scope of practice.
