Department Summary
The clinicians in Boston Children's Department of Urology - ranked among the best in the nation in pediatric urology by U.S. News & World Report - provide expert care for the entire spectrum of urologic conditions. Our team sees infants, children, and adolescents with common urological conditions as well as more complex urological conditions including genitourinary cancers. This role will serve as Clinical Coordinator of a new urology practice site in Shrewsbury, MA.

Key Responsibilities
The development, coordination, and oversight of clinical and operational activities at a new urology practice site in Shrewsbury. This role serves as a key liaison between physicians, patients, nursing staff, and administrative personnel to ensure the delivery of safe, efficient, high-quality patient care.

The Clinical Coordinator leads the development and implementation of workflows, policies, protocols, and operational standards that support the needs of the practice, physicians, and patients. The position also provides direct patient support through education, triage, and coordination of surgical services while managing day-to-day clinic operations, staffing, regulatory compliance, and quality initiatives.
  • Collaborate with physicians and administrative leadership to establish and operationalize a new urology practice site in Shrewsbury, MA.
  • Develop, implement, and continuously improve clinical workflows, operational processes, and patient care protocols.
  • Identify opportunities to enhance patient access, efficiency, quality, and patient experience.
  • Serve as a clinical resource for staff and providers regarding practice standards and patient care processes.
  • Monitor clinical operations and recommend process improvements to optimize practice performance.
  • Manage daily clinic operations and staffing schedules to ensure appropriate coverage and workflow efficiency.
  • Assist with recruitment, onboarding, orientation, and training of clinical and administrative staff.
  • Provide guidance, coaching, and performance feedback to team members.
  • Foster a collaborative, patient-centered work environment that supports professional development and accountability.
  • Ensure compliance with all federal, state, organizational, and specialty-specific regulatory requirements.
  • Develop and maintain policies, procedures, and documentation standards consistent with best practices and accreditation requirements.
  • Maintain readiness for regulatory reviews, inspections, and accreditation activities.
  • Partner with physicians, nursing leadership, operations leaders, and support departments to achieve organizational goals.
Minimum Qualifications

Education
BSN required.
MSN preferred.

Experience
4-5 years of RN experience required.
Nursing certification in a specialty area preferred.
Leadership experience strongly preferred.
Experience in specialty preferred.

Licensure/Certifications
MA RN license required.
