Job Overview:

As an Ultrasound Applications Specialist (GI Ultrasound), you will serve as the clinical expert and trusted advisor for United Imaging's ultrasound portfolio, partnering with customers and cross-functional teams to deliver an exceptional end-to-end clinical experience. You will play a critical role in driving product adoption, optimizing clinical workflows, and ensuring customers realize the full value of their ultrasound investment throughout the product lifecycle.

Key Responsibilities:

Customer Success & Clinical Excellence:
  • Serve as the clinical expert and trusted advisor for United Imaging's ultrasound portfolio, delivering an exceptional end-to-end customer experience throughout the product lifecycle.
  • Drive clinical adoption, workflow optimization, and long-term utilization of ultrasound solutions to maximize customer satisfaction and loyalty.
  • Assess customer education needs and deliver tailored clinical training that enables users to achieve optimal clinical and operational outcomes.
  • Serve as the primary clinical resource for customer inquiries and escalations, ensuring timely resolution in collaboration with internal teams.
  • Capture and communicate Voice of the Customer (VOC) insights to support continuous product improvement and enhanced customer experience.

Sales & Commercial Support:
  • Partner with Account Executives and Modality Managers to support territory growth through clinical expertise, product demonstrations, and strategic customer engagement.
  • Provide pre-sales and post-sales clinical support to help achieve territory revenue, order, and market share objectives.
  • Conduct onsite and virtual product demonstrations throughout the assigned territory and support opportunities across other regions as needed.
  • Represent United Imaging at trade shows, customer workshops, conferences, and other educational events.
  • Identify customer opportunities and market insights that support business growth and strengthen customer relationships.

Product Adoption & Education:
  • Coordinate and deliver on-site clinical education for new system installations, software upgrades, advanced applications, and new technologies.
  • Partner with customers, Customer Support Engineers, and Project Management to ensure successful implementation and adoption of new systems and upgrades.
  • Deliver high-quality customer education that promotes confident system utilization and achievement of clinical objectives.
  • Support new product training initiatives and provide onsite clinical assistance for service-related customer needs.
  • Ensure all customer training, documentation, and follow-up activities are completed in accordance with company quality standards and established timelines.

Cross-Functional Collaboration:
  • Collaborate with Sales, Service, Marketing, Operations, and Product teams to deliver a seamless customer experience.
  • Participate in territory planning, opportunity reviews, and cross-functional meetings to align customer priorities and business objectives.
  • Partner with internal stakeholders to coordinate installations, upgrades, and ongoing customer support activities.
  • Share customer feedback, competitive insights, and market trends to influence product development, marketing strategies, and business initiatives.
  • Foster collaborative relationships across the organization to support customer success and continuous improvement.

Territory & Operational Excellence:
  • Effectively manage territory schedules, customer commitments, and work activities to support business objectives and achieve financial targets.
  • Collaborate with Modality Manager and maintain accurate forecasting, work order management, customer documentation, and required business reporting.
  • Manage company assets responsibly and maintain equipment in excellent operating condition.
  • Maintain vendor credentialing and ensure compliance with company policies, quality standards, and applicable procedures.
  • Travel throughout the assigned territory (50-70%), with flexibility for occasional evenings, weekends, and international travel as business needs require.

Requirements

Education & Credentials:
  • Associate's degree in Diagnostic Medical Sonography or related field required; Bachelor's degree preferred.
  • Current ARDMS or CCI certification required.
  • Advanced registry in General Imaging required (Abdomen and OB/GYN minimum); RVT, MSK, or RDCS preferred.

Preferred Experience:
  • 3-5 years of clinical experience as a registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer.
  • Experience as a Clinical Applications Specialist or Ultrasound Applications Specialist with a medical imaging manufacturer strongly preferred.
  • Experience supporting product development or clinical research is a plus.
  • Demonstrated expertise in advanced General Imaging and OB/GYN applications, including 3D/4D imaging.
  • Understanding of AI-enabled ultrasound workflows and their clinical and operational benefits.

  • Willingness to travel overnight up to 50-70% of the time, depending on geography; May require night and weekend coverage on occasion, including potential/periodic global travel.
