Job Summary and ResponsibilitiesAs our Clinic Supervisor of the Surgical Specialies clinic at Dignity Health Medical Foundation, you will oversee the staff (patient care team, front desk, records, and ancillary services) caring for our patients in our outpatient Cardiology clinic.Every day you will have the opportunity to improve your understanding of a patient's needs, the needs of your patient care team, or the needs of your clinic. You'll advocate for your team as you support them in reaching their full potential, aligning with our operational goals and objectives.To be successful in this role, you must be accountable and confident. You're an excellent communicator in one-on-one interactions and in front of groups. It's also important for you to be comfortable holding tough conversations, as you are responsible for the performance of your people and your clinic.
- Oversee smooth flow of clinic operations, acts as a resource to staff for operational needs, and handles day-to-day patient satisfaction concerns
- Ensure your direct reports and department are positioned to deliver the best care possible to our patients
- Recruit, hire, train, discipline and supervise staff, including performance evaluations, and competency assessments
- Assist with budget development, management and issues cost effective operations
- Monitor productivity and efficiency of your department
- Mentor people on your team. Share your knowledge and confidence with the patient care team
Job Requirements
Required
- Three (3) years of Outpatient Clinic experience
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Demonstrated ability to effectively supervise productive, engaged teams and work with providers. Knowledge of or ability to learn the budgeting process, management reports, accounting, purchasing and patient billing process and systems. Knowledge of computers, systems and software, including word processing, spreadsheet, database, clinical information systems, electronic medical records, billing systems, and other application packages. Health insurance knowledge of HMO, PPO and capitated risk plan contracts as they relate to providers and practices

Preferred
- Previous experience in the specialities preferred
- Previous lead or supervisory experience in a union environment strongly preferred
- Bachelor's degree in business, finance or healthcare administration or related field, or equivalent combination of experience and education, preferred
- RN or LVN license & experience preferred
