Description
NorthPoint Health & Wellness is seeking a Clinic Manager to support and lead NorthPoint's medical team. The Clinic Manager will plan, direct, organize, supervise, and coordinate health operations within a federally qualified healthcare center. In addition to managing clinic operations, this role serves as the Laboratory Director, providing oversight of laboratory performance, quality systems, and compliance with all regulatory requirements. The Clinic Manager will collaborate closely with the medical department to guide and support key ancillary services, including the laboratory, pharmacy, radiology, and nutrition departments.

Location and hours:
This position is hybrid and will be performed primarily on-site at NorthPoint Health & Wellness Center, 2220 Plymouth Avenue North, Minneapolis, MN 55411, and remote as job duties require. This position will also involve travel to satellite clinics and school-based clinic sites throughout Hennepin County. Free parking is available on-site. Work hours will be Monday through Friday, 8:30 a.m. - 5 p.m. While this position is designated as hybrid, based on current requirements hires must reside in or relocate to Minnesota or Wisconsin.

In this position, you will:
  • Provide operational and administrative support to the medical department inclusive of its ancillary departments (laboratory, radiology, optometry, and pharmacy) ensuring efficient workflows, timely patient care, and alignment with organizational standards.
  • Ensure primary ancillary initiatives are aligned with the organization's strategic direction, goals, and mission.
  • Manage, advocate, facilitate NorthPoint EPIC projects from inception to Go Live.
  • Support Medical Operations through participation in key initiatives that enhance patient safety, standardize workflows, and improve clinical efficiency.
  • Support the Referrals team by assisting with process coordination, troubleshooting referral barriers, and helping maintain timely and accurate referral management.
  • Serve as a NorthPoint EPIC Affiliate Voting Member, representing departmental interests and contributing to system-wide decision-making related to EPIC functionality, upgrades, and governance.
  • Participate in multiple cross-functional committees, including, but not limited to Adult Lifecycle, Pediatrics Lifecycle and Perinatal Lifecycle, offering input on operational improvements, care pathways, and service integration.
  • Review and approve financial requests submitted by medical and satellite departments, ensuring appropriate resource use and alignment with budgetary guidelines.
  • Monitor clinician encounter completion, identifying delinquent encounters and providing timely notifications to ensure compliance with documentation standards and support accurate billing.
  • Provide leadership to further department-based strategies that align with county goals, mission and core values for diversity, equity & inclusion.
Need to have:
  • One of the following:
    • Nine years or more of experience in clinic operations, public administration, or program management including supervisory responsibility.
    • Bachelor's degree or higher in business administration, health care administration, psychology, public health, nursing, social work, or related field and five or more years of experience in clinic or program management including supervisory responsibility.

Nice to have:
  • Experience with:
    • Supervising laboratory operations.
    • Supporting racial equity or disparity reduction work from a public health perspective.
    • Strategic planning, project management, coordination of resources and services.
    • Managing and supervising professional, paraprofessional, support staff function and patient/client crises in multiple locations.
    • Using word, excel, electronic health records, and EPIC.
    • Racial equity, gender equity, LGBTQIA+ equity, and/or people with varying abilities to achieve health and racial equity.
  • Ability to:
    • Work collaboratively as part of a team and with a diverse group of people.
    • Establish clinic goals, objectives, and standards.
    • Facilitate large and small public group presentations or meetings.
  • Knowledge of diversity and inclusion strategies with a focus on disparities reduction.
  • A passion for patient centered recovery and care delivery.
