Full Job Description
Senior Client Partner: Power, Utilities & Energy

Key Responsibilities
  • Mega-Deal Origination & Commercial Architecture: Lead the end-to-end origination, structuring, and closure of $10M-$50M+ enterprise AI transformation engagements across the Utilities, Power, and Energy sectors, aggressively expanding our footprint in the Houston market.
  • C-Suite Strategic Advisory: Serve as the definitive trusted advisor to Houston-based energy executives (CEOs, CIOs, CDOs, and COOs). Guide their strategic roadmaps, demonstrating how AI-native operating models can solve existential industry challenges such as grid optimization, load forecasting, and decarbonization.
  • Aggressive Portfolio Scaling & P&L Leadership: Assume full P&L ownership for a high-growth sector portfolio. Drive massive account expansion, converting initial high-value AI pilots into enterprise-wide, multi-year strategic partnerships that displace legacy systems integrators.
  • Market Share Capture via Local Ecosystem Dominance: Leverage the density of the Houston energy hub to monopolize market share. Architect go-to-market motions that specifically target regional power providers, independent power producers (IPPs), and utility conglomerates transitioning to digital-first models.
  • Executive Orchestration of Delivery Excellence: Direct and govern cross-functional, elite teams of AI architects, data scientists, and industry SMEs. Ensure flawless execution of high-stakes AI deployments, maintaining rigorous oversight of commercial margins and client ROI.
  • Proprietary Asset & IP Steering: Channel frontline market intelligence back to our global engineering and product pods to shape the development of proprietary, vertical-specific AI assets (e.g., proprietary algorithms for utility predictive maintenance or energy trading optimization)

Required Qualifications
  • Tier-1 Consulting Pedigree: 15+ years of executive-level client leadership, with a recent, verifiable tenure as a Managing Director, Partner, or Senior Client Partner at a Tier-1 global management consultancy (MBB) or elite technology services firm (e.g., Accenture, Deloitte).
  • Proven $20M+ Portfolio Management: Demonstrated track record of independently originating, closing, and managing an annual portfolio exceeding $20M in complex digital, data, and AI consulting services within the Energy/Utilities sector.
  • Entrenched Houston Executive Network: An active, highly monetizable network of C-suite and Board-level relationships across the Houston energy, power, and utilities ecosystem. The candidate must be able to accelerate the sales cycle from day one based on pre-existing trust.
  • Deep Domain Mastery: Sophisticated fluency in the macroeconomic and operational realities of modern utilities. Must possess authoritative knowledge of grid modernization, DER integration, regulatory constraints (ERCOT, FERC), and the financial mechanics of the energy transition.
  • Enterprise AI Literacy: High-level strategic command of contemporary AI paradigms (Generative AI, machine learning, digital twins, computer vision) and data architectures. Must possess the ability to abstract complex technical capabilities into compelling C-level business cases and ROI narratives.
  • Complex Deal Structuring: Proven capability to architect non-traditional, high-value commercial agreements, including value-based pricing, outcome-based contracts, and joint intellectual property ventures with massive enterprise clients.
