Responsibilities

  • Act as the main daily contact for a portfolio of clients, overseeing their insurance requirements.
  • Lead renewal and remarketing processes, liaising with carriers for coverage and pricing.
  • Provide expert guidance on coverage gaps and strategic policy decisions for clients.
  • Manage onboarding for new accounts, including data collection and analysis.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve complex client issues with underwriters and other teams.
  • Maintain accurate client records and document service activities in the agency management system.
  • Present and coordinate annual open enrollment meetings.

Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Serve as the primary day-to-day contact for a designated book of clients, managing their insurance needs with minimal oversight.
  • Lead the renewal and remarketing process, coordinating with carriers to secure optimal coverage and pricing. Provide consultative guidance to clients on coverage gaps, policy structures, and strategic insurance decisions. Oversee onboarding of new accounts, including collection and analysis of underwriting data.
  • Troubleshoot complex client issues, working with underwriters and internal teams to resolve problems efficiently. Manage endorsements, claims inquiries, audits, and other service items with high attention to detail.
  • Utilize agency management system to maintain comprehensive, accurate client records and document all servicing activities.
  • Mentor or support more junior account team members as needed.
  • Stay informed on industry trends, product offerings, and regulatory changes impacting clients.
  • Coordinate and present an annual open enrollment meetings


Qualifications
  • 3-5 years of experience in insurance account management in Life & Health lines.
  • Proven ability to manage a book of business and build long-term client relationships.
  • Strong understanding of carrier underwriting guidelines and coverage forms.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficient in Salesforce or comparable agency management systems.
  • Active insurance license(s) in Life & Health.
  • Detail-oriented with strong time management skills and the ability to work independently.
  • Experience in supporting clients in alternative funding (Preferred)
  • Industry designations: CEBS - Certified Employee Benefit Specialist, GBA - Group Benefits Associate, RHU - Registered Health Underwriter, CBP - Certified Benefits Professional, PHR / SPHR, CSFS - Certified Self-Funding Specialist (Highly Preferred)
