Overview

Targeted Victory is looking for an experienced client services professional to join our team as a Director on the Business Development team. This individual will serve as a strategic partner across client accounts, agency teams, and leadership initiatives, helping drive collaboration, operational excellence, and exceptional client service. The ideal candidate is a proactive problem-solver with strong communication skills  and the ability to manage complex projects and relationships in a fast-paced environment. Applicants must be able to work in person at our Arlington, VA office.

 

Responsibilities
  • Serve as a central point of coordination across internal teams and agency partners to ensure alignment on shared client objectives and initiatives

  • Lead recurring client and cross-functional meetings, providing clear communication, follow-up, and accountability across stakeholders

  • Partner with senior leadership to support key client accounts, helping navigate challenges, identify opportunities, and drive strategic recommendations

  • Build strong relationships with clients, external partners, and agency teams while maintaining a high standard of client service

  • Identify opportunities to improve collaboration, communication, and overall client experience across teams

  • Support the development and execution of strategic initiatives, events, presentations, and external engagements

  • Oversee media planning efforts and coordinate with publishers, advertising partners, and vendors

  • Maintain documentation, institutional knowledge, and historical records related to client relationships, partnerships, and ongoing initiatives

  • Collaborate with internal product, operations, and leadership teams on special projects and business priorities

  • Prepare executive-level presentations, briefs, reports, and other deliverables for internal and external stakeholders

  • Help identify risks, opportunities, and evolving client needs to support long-term client growth and retention

  • Bachelor's degree and 4–7+ years of experience in client services, communications, public affairs, marketing, consulting, or a related field

  • Strong understanding of political, public affairs, or reputation management environments

  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, including experience preparing presentations, briefs, reports, and executive-level materials

  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple stakeholders, projects, and priorities simultaneously

  • Strong interpersonal skills and emotional intelligence, with the ability to build trust across teams and organizations

  • Ability to remain calm under pressure and effectively navigate complex or sensitive situations

  • Proven ability to identify challenges, develop solutions, and drive projects forward with minimal oversight

  • Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively and effectively with colleagues at all levels

  • Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and project management capabilities

  • Skilled in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
