This role is well suited for a finance professional who combines analytical rigor, commercial judgment, and strong stakeholder management to support client profitability and operational accountability within the advertising and marketing industry. Core Accountabilities • Serve as the primary finance partner for client account teams, supporting budgets, staffing plans, estimates, SOWs, and project-level financial performance. • Own client-specific billing processes across pre-bill, fixed fee, hourly, Flex Team, portal-submission, and project-leader-triggered billing models. • Prepare monthly billing reporting, labor reconciliations, staffing plan analysis, and client financial reporting to support timely business decisions. • Support month-end project accounting, revenue recognition, deferred revenue, and true-up reconciliations based on approved time sheets, billing rules, and program trackers. • Manage client-facing staffing plans and support account teams in SPP, NetSuite, Program Trackers, SharePoint, and related finance tools to ensure accurate planning, forecasting, billing, and documentation. • Ensure adherence to contract billing policies, workflow procedures, client purchase order requirements, portal submission rules, and required work or payment authorizations. • Maintain invoice control documentation by ensuring each invoice is recorded consistently across SPP, Program Trackers, SharePoint, monthly invoice summaries, and applicable checklists. • Coordinate cross-SBU billing, time transfers, revenue allocation, journal entries, month-end close support, and intercompany payables and receivables activity as needed. • Monitor accounts receivable status, follow up on aged balances, and escalate collection or billing issues that may affect client financial health. • Support ad hoc financial analysis, reporting, and process improvement projects as assigned. Qualifications • Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or a related field required. • 4+ years of financial analysis and/or accounting experience, preferably within advertising, marketing, public relations, professional services, or another client-service environment. • Strong understanding of accounting principles, including balance sheet activity, accounts receivable, P&L reporting, reconciliations, revenue recognition, deferred revenue, billing controls, and month-end close processes. • Demonstrated analytical rigor, financial judgment, and ability to translate data into clear business insights. • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to work effectively across account, finance, and operations teams. • Advanced Excel proficiency and strong systems fluency, including the ability to learn and work across planning, accounting, billing, reporting, and document-control applications quickly.
