Position Summary:

MedInsight is seeking a Client Engineer II to deliver solutions and support for our clients. This role requires strong analysis capabilities, and an understanding of both the client business needs and MedInsight technical architecture. The successful candidate will have strong analytic, technical, and communication skills.

This is an individual contributor role. Primarily responsibilities include leading the technical components of implementations and projects and providing support and analysis on behalf of our clients. This position will report to a Client Engineer Lead within the Client Engineering team. The Client Engineering team is part of the Client Success Organization.

What you'll do:

  • Write, review, and approve code within the client code base.
  • Evaluate data quality. Document and discuss how data quality impacts on our clients' use cases.
  • Collaborate with team members across MedInsight to ensure effective solutions exist for data modeling, data review, release strategies, and automation.
  • Lead the technical component of MedInsight implementations.
  • Provide technical support for existing clients: researching analytic questions, code and config changes to meet evolving client use cases, develop client usage metrics
  • Advocate for Client Engineering best practices.


As a Client Engineer II you should have:

  • Analytics Experience:2+ years of experience as a Healthcare Analyst, Analytics Engineer, Data Engineer, or equivalent, with a strong focus on data modeling, evaluation of data quality, and analysis of clinical or administrative health care data.
  • Advanced SQL Skills:2+ years of advanced SQL experience, including complex joins, CTEs, partitioning, pivoting, window functions, and aggregations
  • Advanced Dimensional Modeling:2+ years of experience designing and implementing dimensional data models for analytical purposes.
  • General Developer Best Practice Experience:2+ years or experience developing in an environment that requires source control and CI/CD.
  • Collaborative Spirit: Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build rapport quickly with cross-functional teams.
  • Intellectual Curiosity: A proactive approach to learning, with a desire to understand business and ask insightful questions.

Compensation and Location:

The overall salary range for this role is $71,700 - $131,905.

For candidates residing in:

  • Alaska, California, Connecticut, Illinois, Maryland, Massachusetts, New Jersey, New York City, Newark, San Jose, San Francisco, Pennsylvania, Virginia, Washington, or the District of Columbia the salary range is $78,870 - $131,905.
  • All other locations the salary range is $71,000 - $114,700.
