Job DescriptionAs a Class 1 driver, you will partner with an existing driver to form a 2-person tractor-trailer team to transport LTL and general freight throughout Northern Alberta, Northern British Columbia, and Northern Canada. You will be expected to travel both day and at night in all weather conditions through the prairies, the mountains, and on the Dempster Highway.
Depending on the destination, you may be expected to transport various trailer combinations.
Pre-trip and post-trip equipment checks, load securement, and use of an electronic log device to record any defects and hours of service.
QualificationsMust have a Class 1 License with a minimum of 2 years of Class 1 experience to qualify for LCV certification. Dempster and mountain experience are assets
Knowledge of Electronic Log Devices is an asset
Physically fit
Be prepared to complete training that will include Classroom Courses, Mountain Qualification training (with a Coach), and Long Combination Vehicle (LCV) Qualification Training.
Have fewer than (4) demerits on your Commercial Abstract.
Be able to pass a Criminal Record Search and supply 2 people who were in a supervisory role for you.
Additional Information- Great Wages: On Duty Driving $52.82/hour and On Duty Not Driving $39.30/hour
