Qualifications

• J.D. preferred, or a Bachelor's degree with relevant industry experience.
• Minimum five years of claims and/or litigation experience, especially in healthcare liability or professional liability.
• Strong negotiating skills essential for this role.
• Adjuster's license required or the ability to obtain one within 90 days.

Responsibilities

• Confirm coverage and oversee claims and lawsuits involving policyholders.
• Interpret and resolve coverage-related issues effectively.
• Select and manage outside legal counsel for litigation.
• Control litigation costs, including fees and other expenses.
• Post reserves for losses and additional living expenses (ALE).
• Resolve cases through settlement, dismissal, or trial proceedings.
• Assist insured parties with sales and retention efforts as needed.
