How You'll Make an Impact- Examinations: Conduct comprehensive medical exams for immigration benefit applicants, confirming they meet USCIS health requirements.
- Medical history review: Assess and document vaccination status, prior illnesses, surgeries, and current medications against immigration health standards.
- Diagnostic testing and vaccination: Administer TB skin tests, blood work, and other required screenings, and bring immunization status up to date.
- Documentation and certification: Accurately complete and certify Form I-693 and related immigration medical documentation for submission.
- Patient counseling: Advise patients on health findings, treatment plans, and next steps toward meeting immigration health requirements.

Requirements- MD or DO degree from an accredited medical school
- Active license to practice as a Physician/MD/DO in New York State
- Designation as a Civil Surgeon by USCIS, or eligibility to obtain designation
- Experience conducting immigration medical examinations preferred
- Clinical rotations across specialties such as urgent care, surgery, pediatrics, emergency medicine, occupational medicine, and women's health
- Current certifications in BLS, ACLS, PALS, and Infection Control Training, with a strong understanding of HIPAA compliance
- Valid DEA registration; CDL and Suboxone certification preferred
- Valid Medication Administration Training (MAT) certificate
- Experience with electronic medical records (EMR) systems
- Bilingual in Spanish and English preferred but not required
