Responsibilities:- Supervise and manage daily construction activities on-site, ensuring compliance with project specifications and safety standards.
- Coordinate with project managers, engineers, subcontractors, and vendors to ensure efficient and effective communication and workflow.
- Lead and mentor field personnel, promoting a culture of teamwork, accountability, and safety.
- Monitor project progress and performance, adjusting schedules and resources as necessary to meet deadlines.
- Conduct regular site inspections to ensure high-quality workmanship and compliance with all applicable codes and regulations.
- Identify and mitigate potential issues or risks that may impact project timelines or budgets.
- Oversee the procurement of materials and equipment necessary for construction operations.
- Maintain accurate project documentation, including daily reports, schedules, and progress updates.
Position RequirementsRequirements:- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field preferred.
- 5+ years of experience in civil construction, with a proven track record as a Superintendent or in a similar role.
- Strong knowledge of heavy civil construction practices, materials, and industry standards.
- Excellent leadership skills, with the ability to motivate and manage teams effectively.
- Strong organizational and multitasking abilities to handle various projects simultaneously.
- Proficient in project management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Exceptional problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to interact with clients, stakeholders, and team members.
- Familiarity with local, state, and federal building codes and regulations.
- A valid driver's license and reliable transportation are required.
- Certification in safety programs (e.g., OSHA) is a plus.
