Full Job Description
As the supervisor of the Civil/Structural team you will manage a team that performs a large variety of structural analysis. Analyses include assessments of concrete and structural steel, lifting and rigging, haul route assessments, soil-structure interaction (SSI), fluid-structure interaction (FSI), In-Structure Response Spectra (ISRS) generation, tornado missile impacts, piping analysis and pipe supports. You will provide inputs to new proposal opportunities, provide input to new designs and analysis methodologies, and mentor the development of new engineers.

What You'll Do Day-To-Day

  • Ensure effective performance of engineering assignments.
  • Plan and direct the timely execution of engineering activities, as assigned.
  • Ensure projects, initiatives, and processes comply with established policies, objectives and customer standards.
  • Ensure adherence to government, organization and customer engineering standards and procedures.
  • Monitor goals, objectives and standards of performance for assigned team members.
  • Work interactively with customers and clients to develop strong relationships.
  • Research and assess best practices, proposing methods and improvements.
  • Work on special projects, as directed.
  • Perform other related duties and tasks, as required.


What You'll Bring

  • Bachelor's Degree in Civil or Mechanical Engineering. Dependent on the position, degrees in Physics, Engineering Technology and Engineering Science may also be accepted.
  • Minimum of 5 years of related experience.
  • Advanced knowledge of related engineering standards, techniques and criteria.
  • Good communication skills to comprehend and convey detailed technical data.
  • Ability to develop and maintain good interpersonal relationships; work collaboratively within a team environment.
  • Advanced problem identification and problem resolution skills.
  • Displays leadership characteristics.
  • Exhibits questioning attitude and practices self-checking.
  • Advanced proficiency with specialized software tools and programming languages as required by the role.


Total Rewards Package

  • Salary: $99,000- $134,000, and may also include annual incentives and performance bonuses. The base salary range is a guideline. Individual total compensation will vary based on factors such as qualifications, skill level, competencies and work location.
