Full Job Description
Civil/Structural Analyst-

Duties:

  • Perform advanced structural analyses of various structures to validate their design adequacy for normal operation and accident loading conditions.
  • Advanced structural analytical capabilities include the ability to perform the following: Seismic Soil-Structure Interaction (SSI); dynamic seismic analysis (response spectra and time-history); development of in-structure seismic response spectra, and to evaluate structural responses for tornado winds, missile penetration, precipitation (rain, flood, snow), and explosion (blast/detonation and deflagration.


Education/Skills:

  • MS Degree in Civil/Structural Engineering, or BS Degree in Civil/Structural Engineering and current registration as a Professional Engineer in either Civil or Structural Engineering.
  • Minimum of eight (8) years' experience in the design and analysis of nuclear or industrial facilities.
  • Working knowledge of STAAD, ANSYS, ABAQUS, SASSI, DYNA3D or similar computer codes.
  • A sound working knowledge of National Codes and Standards such as IBC, AISC (ASD, LRFD, & N690), ASCE, ACI (318 & 349).
  • Must have the ability to perform field walk-downs of structural systems.
